[0:01:13] Kevin Longquist and Kyle Hicks here along with the Deacon and Mercedes-Mire on the sidelines here, the Crowley Multipurpose ISD Stadium in Southern Terran County. This is going to be the ninth meeting between the Bearcats and North Crowley in the first since 20, what is it? [0:01:31] 2007, Alito leads the series five games to three, so the ninth meeting overall. Bearcats are going to be in their traditional way. By the way, another thanks to our friends at Comfort Eckfurt's for the starting lineups. Alito has won the toss, but deferred its choice to the second half so they will kick off going from south to north. [0:01:50] The reason is coming out of the south and this kickoff of the 20, 20, 60s is underway. It's a pooch kick and it's going to be fair caught by one of the up and four the Panthers at the 30, 60 ard line. [0:02:01] So this pooch kick that was caught are off the foot of Jackson Russell, the kicker for the kickoff specialist for the Bearcats. They didn't want to kick deep because there's a lot of speed back there. [0:02:14] So the Bearcats will go on defense. They'll officially spot the ball at the 35 ard line. We welcome you to the first quarter, which is brought to you by Lucacy Willow Park. [0:02:26] Jacob Torres is the quarterback for North Crowley stands in the shot, but he will throw to the right side and the pass is knocked away at the line as scrimmage as Max Forman got his left hand on that, knocked it away as he was trying to do a quick out to Kate Smith in the slot. [0:02:42] But good read there to get it started for the Alito defense. It was a good job of Max Forman getting upfield and able to get his hands up in the air and knock that pass down and get a good get off the right foot here for the Alito defense. [0:02:54] So second and 10 for North Crowley, it's 35 ard line. This will be a give up the middle, not much running room there as they give it to Ingram. And he has stacked up for maybe a yard. If he got it to the 36 ard line, Bearcats front four. [0:03:07] You win the job there, led by time and makes an Amari Dimboo on that. Bearcats in there all whites. We didn't see that a lot last year, but they're in their all whites today with their black numerals with the orange trim are stormtrooper whites, if you will. [0:03:20] And then for North Crowley, they are in their black helmets with the blue Panther emblem on one side. And then I think they've got the 817 logo on the other side. Black Jersey tops and then black pants with the blue piping navy blue piping down the side, but they're heavy black in this ensemble. [0:03:36] So third and nine, Torres to throw he throws it out to the left side and being caught from behind nice job by Max for men as that pass was caught by price Demerson. [0:03:46] He gets no gain on that so the Bearcats defense quickly gets North Crowley off the field on a three and out has really good series there by the front four for the Bearcats. [0:03:56] So you know, two plays that series Max for men with really good job there in the first play get his hands up knocking the ball down and that's time getting from the defense of the in position all the way out to the sideline to make that tackle. [0:04:06] Enforced a three and out here for the North Crowley Panthers. Cooper whole is the punt returner for the Bearcats as he will stand about his 32 yard line. The punt is away and he will let it bounce in front of him and then he moves away from it. [0:04:18] And it's picked up by one of the down lineman for the Panthers and it'll be down to the 35 yard line following a 29 yard punt. [0:04:26] So the first time we get to see tray Williams at quarterback for the Bearcats again two year starter at Louisville high school led the fighting farmers and they're all their maroon uniforms back in the 90s when I was covering Louisville. I love covering that team because they ran the wishbone. [0:04:40] And so things have changed since that was a hundred years ago, but anyway, but tray Williams stands in the shotgun wearing the number three. [0:04:48] He has the orange shoes as his cleats. He has two receivers to the right one to the near side. [0:04:55] Jeremiah Johnson is the running back and he will get the first down carry and he is stood up at the line of scrimmage for no gain. [0:05:01] And so that first down plate isn't going anywhere either. And again, this is a really good North Crowley defense to Marcus Harris has been a great coordinator in his time as a coach in high school. [0:05:12] Had built some really good defenses over his time at Cedar Hill as well as Richardson high little Elm Arlington, Seguine among others. [0:05:22] Leila is going to have to stick with trying to run the ball and you know, establish an identity on the ground here this evening. [0:05:27] A second and 10 for the Bearcats at their 35-yard line. Another give up the middle main stood up and actually maybe losing a yard as making the play as Antonio Smith the defensive end as he loses a yard. [0:05:38] But a penalty marker is thrown in also a helmet came off of Derek Gleason the senior defensive tackle. [0:05:43] We'll see what this Fort Worth crew says here are they're out of the Fort Worth chapter Bernard Gray is our referee. [0:05:50] The umpire is Eric Horton. Gray a 27-year veteran Horton a 25-year veteran. [0:05:55] So the discussion right now between Gray and his headlinesman on this call. Technically it's a loss of one for the Bearcats. [0:06:03] And we'll see what this flag means if they're going to pick it up or what they're going to call here. [0:06:13] All right so a loss of one for Johnson so that means it's third down and 11. [0:06:17] You could hear that there was no foul because the player was engaged. [0:06:21] So here we go at 30-11 for the Bearcats so not much progress for either offense early on here in the opening moments of this game. [0:06:29] 10 minutes to play first quarter. Alito's first possession no score. [0:06:33] It is a give over the left side to Johnson a penalty marker is thrown. [0:06:38] So he gets right back to the line of scrimmage which was the 34-yard line. [0:06:45] And Johnson gets and again this is a really physical front. [0:06:48] You have Crosby at 2 30 at one defensive end. [0:06:51] Smith the other defensive end is 270 that the tackles are 255 and 300. [0:06:56] So that's a lot of earth to move for the Alito offensive line. [0:06:59] Yeah it will be an off-sense. [0:07:00] I'll get to I'll let you make that point here in a second Kyle but off sides against North Crowley. [0:07:07] Alito picks up 5 and now it makes it 3rd and 6th. Go ahead. [0:07:10] Yeah no it's going to be really physical games and I'll put it up front for the Bearcats offensive line versus that really physical defensive line for North Crowley. [0:07:16] So a lot of times where games like this are 1 is up front so they're going to have to continue battling and trying to find ways to get the run going. [0:07:23] Alright so third down and 6. [0:07:25] Williams with this first pass and attempt to pass this caught. [0:07:28] It's going to be very close to the first down. Pass was caught by it looks like Caden Palmquist the Titan but I think he's going to come up a yard short. [0:07:35] He got 5 he needed 6 and so I think he might have cut the rod off just a little bit early on that and so he gets 5 and not 6 and so Robbie Jones he likes to punt. [0:07:44] Something that he has an allergic reaction to but he has to punt. [0:07:48] That's fine I'm going to make him too happy there you know you know that that routes designed to go to the first down marker and break off to the side on there just can't be a little short there. [0:07:56] I know and that's going to be tough. We're enforcing the punt here and fourth and short. [0:07:59] I think we're going to see a few more punts given this non-district schedule. [0:08:02] Lee does going to be facing this year Hudson Park excuse me Blake could as the new punter. [0:08:07] They really liked his spring in his and his fall camp he gets it away he got nailed and a flag comes in and Lee does going to get a first down out of this they ran into him. [0:08:16] The punt was down at about the 20 yard line. [0:08:19] It'll be a 36 yard punt if it holds but I think a little is going to keep the football because it looked like one of the run one of the men run up for a North Crowley ran into. [0:08:29] Blake could and this should be it was now we'll see if it's the five or the 15 it's going to be the 15 so it was pretty a larger one Houston he almost got there for the block but. [0:08:39] The lead was able to get the pun off there and after that Houston destroyed the the lead up on her there so. [0:08:45] It's going to be 15 yards and a new set of downs for the bear cats which in games like this you're going to have to you know catch breaks like that and find ways to keep your offense on the field that first down brought to you by our new sponsor for first down to your bull goose construction. [0:08:57] We want to thank them for being a part of the Alito broadcast here in 2026 15 yard mark off puts it at the North Crowley 41 yard line shovel pass to Caden Paul question he wasn't looking for it and fortunately for the bear cats. [0:09:11] It went harmlessly to the ground although there were a lot of black jerseys chasing it but it hit the ground and of course you do it your taught on defense you go chase the football but that was an incomplete passes the shuffle did not execute very well. [0:09:23] Yeah and that play didn't really have much of a chance from the get go there there glisten up front there for the panthers deep is line Scott was able to get too much penetration in the middle that offensive line and really had nowhere to go with that shovel pass and thankfully it fell harmlessly to the turf. [0:09:37] So second down in 10 for Alito up in North Crowley 41 yard line bear cats opening possession the defense got a three and out it is a gift to Jeremiah Johnson he stood up in the back of he's going to lose a lot of yardage here he's going to lose about two maybe three to back to about the 44 yard line as he was trying to shake off a block. [0:09:52] And then try to spin away from two other guys but there was nowhere to go here and so this North Crowley defense early. [0:10:00] Leon is as good as advertised, and points are going to come at a premium, at least the early indications are for tonight's ballgame. Yeah, and they brought pressure up that right side, which Aledo was trying to run into. And there's just more guys there than they could block. And Jeremiah Johnson's had nowhere to go on that. And once again, third and long here, you have to find a way to get the ball in the air and pick up some yards here. Third and 13 at the 44-yard line. So a loss of three by Johnson, low snap for Williams. He has time, fires down the far sideline, but it is going to be over three. [0:10:30] He was looking for Kane Lanier down the Aledo sideline, but it was incomplete. Looked like Lanier got held up just a little bit, but nothing that would warrant if you will flag it so the Bearcats will have to punt. Yeah, Lanier is trying to run that wheel route there on the sideline as well covered by North Crowley area. [0:10:48] Coming over the top there from the safety position, and it's a really good job defending. And, you know, as he said, this North Crowley defense is as advertised, really physical and then flying around making it really tough for the Bearcats offense. [0:11:01] Braille and Cunningham is the punt returner for North Crowley. He stands at his 10-yard line. Hood's punt is a way. It's high end over end and it's twisting and it's going to bounce at the 15-yard line. [0:11:13] And it's going to keep rolling and rolling. The Bearcats have got to stop it before it goes into the end zone. Did they get it stopped before it went into the end zone? They did not. [0:11:20] The ones coming touch back. There's a discussion. One of them is calling it a touchback. That's the umpire. But another one came in and said to the one-yard line. They're having a discussion, but it looks like it's going to get overruled and put it the 20-yard line. We'll see here. [0:11:32] We're exactly they're going to spot the football. I think they are going to put it at the 20-yard line. Yeah, it looks like they are. So that's a huge lead down by the special teams. They have three or four guys down there. And for whatever reason, there's could not corral the ball there. I mean, that was a huge opportunity to really put the North Crowley offense in a bad spot. [0:11:49] And, you know, the Panthers catch a break there by the ball getting called as a touchback. Signline report to Mercedes. Would you see on that? [0:11:55] I don't know which player it was, but he was in the end zone in the first person to touch the ball. So he was already had a foot into the end zone. [0:12:03] So first intent at the 20-yard line. Here goes Taurus. He takes off with it. He voids one man, but then gets plastered at about the 23-yard line there. [0:12:11] Tackle was made for Alito's defense by Cooper Hall after a three-yard pickup. And he just laid out Taurus on that. Because that was a design pass and then he had to take off with it. [0:12:22] Yeah, I was well done actually up front there. He had plenty of time. Just nobody opens. So he takes off. But Cooper Hall is able to get down there and really stop before he can get anything going. [0:12:30] Second and seventh, the pass is caught out on the left, the near side by Kate Smith. He gets nearer first down. Does get a first down. Gets across the 30 to the 35-yard line. [0:12:39] Tackle was made by Blaine Fisher, the corner back. That's a pick up of 12 yards. Again, that's the first first down for North Crowley in this ballgame. [0:12:46] Near in the seven-minute mark of this first quarter brought to you by our friends at Lucacy Willapark. [0:12:54] At the 35-yard line for North Crowley on its side of the field, it is a give up the middle to Ingram. He does have some room. He gets about four yards to about the 39-yard line. [0:13:05] And then Zomari Dimboo makes the stop. North Crowley wants to work a little quickly here. Kind of go with a quicker pace on offense. [0:13:16] And it will be a give over the left side to Ingram. He's got some room to run. He's got nearer first down. Looks like he does have a first down right at the midfield stripe. [0:13:23] The Cole Cox made the stop. And it will be a first down right to the yard marker of the 45-yard line. And so North Crowley's running game getting a little bit of rhythm here. [0:13:32] You can see where that special teams mistake for Alito's special teams really hurt them because they probably should have batted about the five-yard line. [0:13:38] Torres to throw has time, fires down the middle of the field. He's got a man and it's going to be caught. [0:13:42] Two and five touchdown. Dimarian Maze, that special junior who has over 40 offers. [0:13:49] 55 yards in the touchdown. At North Crowley scores first with 16 to 13 to play here in the first quarter. [0:13:57] Yeah, you're going to have to put somebody over the top on him. He's got, you know, this excellent speed. [0:14:03] Really just runs right behind the Alito defense and it's good pass from Torres. Hit some in stride. [0:14:07] And you're going to have to make a little tougher on them than that. And like I said, put a safety over the top something really trying to limit how effective he can be because putting those situations. [0:14:15] He's going to be really tough to stop. Maze averaged over 15 yards at catch last year. He had 11 touchdowns. [0:14:21] It was over 840 yards for the year. And so, and there are a lot of, and that was just as a sophomore. [0:14:27] So you can only imagine what their expectations are for him these next two years. [0:14:31] But this play covers 55 yards extra point on the way and it will knuckle through, but no good. [0:14:38] It looks like it hit off to the right and no good. So 613 to play here in the first quarter. [0:14:43] Our first score of the year is North Crowley, 6 and Alito. [0:16:00] Let's give it to you. First of all brought to you by CSG West Grenade in Flores, five plays 80 yards. [0:16:05] The 55 yard touchdown pass from Jacob Torres to Damarian Mays and it's six-dothing. [0:16:10] Pooch kick from Cabo and it's going to be caught up the North Crowley's sideline by Cain Linear and he'll scooch forward for about three or four yards. [0:16:18] He'll get to about the 33-34 yard line and so Alito's second possession of the game, which did get a first down via a penalty on the rough end of the kicker penalty. [0:16:27] But then really didn't do much on the other plays. [0:16:31] And you could see that very conservative maybe trying to fill out what that defense for North Crowley was going to do. [0:16:36] We'll see what the second possession brings. Yeah, they've really tried to establish a run here and just hadn't really had much success with it. [0:16:42] They've done a, you know, North Crowley's done a good job of really being physical at the point of attack. [0:16:47] They brought pressure off the edge a couple times and it's made it tough so far up front for the bearcaps. [0:16:52] Izzy Roberts is the new running back for Alito here. [0:16:56] He is a sophomore and there's a huge size difference between him and Jeremiah Johnson. [0:17:03] The first down carried about the 36 yard line as this possession starts at the 35 yard line. [0:17:09] It'll be a one yard pickup and so it'll bring up second down a nine. [0:17:13] I think that's the first positive gain for Alito's running game tonight. [0:17:18] But here's the difference in size between Jeremiah Johnson and Izzy Roberts. [0:17:22] Jeremiah is listed at 511-220. Izzy's listed at 56135. [0:17:27] That's an 85-pound difference between the two of them. [0:17:30] Now, we know how coaches are with heights and weights and all that sort of stuff. [0:17:34] But second and nine, Izzy got the yard play action. [0:17:37] Williams to throw over the middle of passes a little bit too high for Caden Palmquist at about the North Crowley 47 yard line. [0:17:44] It was a good looking play and the pass was there but it was just a little bit of a miscommunication there. [0:17:49] And so it'll bring up now third down a nine for the bearcaps. That would have been a first down. [0:17:53] Yeah, there was a really good concept there by Robbie Jones. [0:17:56] Palmquist was coming open right there on the seam just a little off target there from Trey Williams. [0:18:00] Palmquist wasn't able to bring that one in but you know, like the idea there, you're going to get some concepts for you. [0:18:06] You run crosses over there and get somebody up to seem like that and you started to come open there. [0:18:10] So you're going to have opportunities over the middle of the field. [0:18:12] Well, Palmquist checks out and so Maddox Knurse checks in. [0:18:16] Linden Kusage is in as well for the bearcaps on this third and nine coming up. [0:18:21] They've had a lot of third and longs at the start of this ballgame. [0:18:24] And now we got a time out here by Robbie Jones. [0:18:27] We'll take it with them 30 seconds here bearcats. [0:18:29] Burn their first time out 528 to play here in our first quarter, North Crowley 6th and Alito nothing back after this time out. [0:18:35] This is Pastor Joel Robbins, the senior pastor of Alito United Methodist Church. [0:18:40] One of our missions is to pray in person over every Alito ISD campus each week. [0:18:45] Come be a part of this great group of people who are sinners just trying to get it right. [0:18:50] Okay, this is Amito Bearcat football on 92.1 and give them back here in Crowley. [0:19:07] Really good crowd has filed in for this one here. [0:19:09] This is the third time that Alito has played in this stadium. [0:19:13] You might recall in 2024 they played getting Ryan in the state quarterfinals of 528 Division 1. [0:19:18] That was that rainy soggy Saturday afternoon which no one liked because the result didn't very well. [0:19:23] But then last year last year on Thanksgiving weekend they took on Arlington Heights. [0:19:28] That was a 55 nothing shut off for the bearcats here. [0:19:31] So one in one in this building bearcats come out of their time out here on a third and nine at their 36 yard line. [0:19:37] 528 to play here in our first quarter North Crowley 6th they missed the extra point and Alito nothing. [0:19:44] Man comes in motion that's Maddox nurse low snap to Williams looks to his left. [0:19:48] Has a man wide open that's easy on a wheel route 35 30 breaks away from attack before he's finally driven down at the 25 yard line. [0:19:58] 39 yards and that is a bull. [0:20:00] Goose Construction, first down, the Bearcats first big play of the year, and they are deep into North Crowley territory. It's a really good job up front by the Bearcats offensive line. North Crowley once again brought pressure off that right side. Did a great job of sliding out there, picking up the blitz, giving Tre Williams enough time and getting Izzy out on the outside on there in that wheel route. It's a great job of big play for pickup first down. Pistol formation for the Bearcats offense here, showing a blitz for North Crowley. The give is to Izzy Roberts. [0:20:30] He's from one tackler, but he is fortunate if he gets back to the line of scrimmage. He actually probably lost a yard back to the 26 as the Bearcats scrimmage at the 25. They'll actually call it no gain. They'll put the ball right behind the 25 yard line here. Six, nothing North Crowley leads. It's a really good job there by Izzy Roberts just to get back to the line of scrimmage. He's in his face almost immediately. He's able to make one guy miss and just try to get something out of nothing there. Again, power pistol formation for the Bearcats. You see that a lot over the years. Low stab Williams gives it off to [0:21:00] Roberts who gets buried behind the line of scrimmage for about a five yard loss. The problem was that there was the snap. There was too low and then and once Tre Williams had to recover and pick it up. He had three black jerseys bearing down on him. Yeah, it just throws everything off in the play. The timing of the play goes out the window there and Tre Roberts has got to try to recover quickly by that time. The senior trying to create for your run back is gone. And once again, you find yourself on a third and long situation, which they're able to convert the last one, but you don't want to continue and have to do this throughout the ballgame. Kingston parks is the wide range [0:21:30] of receiver to the near side. That's the North Crowley sideline three receivers to the far side. Roberts remains the running back to Williams in the shotgun. This time a better snap. He will do a bubble screen. And it's going to be almost intercepted and intercepted. Juggling caught. Braille and Cunningham will run at the other way on a juggling ball to himself. He's going to take it the distance for a pick six. The North Crowley is up 12 to nothing. They were trying to suck in the defense on the blitz. And the bubble screen over the top was juggled. There wasn't there was a person. El mix up the ball. [0:22:00] And he's out there for Alito. Roberts was able to knock it around but he kept the ball alive and then he tipped it to himself. And once he got control of it at about the 45 yard line in North. [0:22:11] On the North Crowley side of the field, he was off to the races. Interception pick six covers 74 yards. I mean they actually had the perfect play call there. [0:22:20] The rally brought the house and they're able to get the ball and the hands were see over there. There's tons of room to run but just wasn't a great throw. [0:22:27] Had pressure in his face and just unfortunately landed in the wrong players hands and that's right there. [0:22:33] We can't give up turnovers especially a pick six like that against a team like North Crowley. [0:22:37] Cabo Lewis with the extra point this time it's good and with 332 to play here in the first quarter. [0:22:42] It is North Crowley 13 and Alito nothing and you're listening to Bearcats football on a Hank FM. [0:22:48] This is Coach Jones of the 12 time Texas State Champion Alito Bearcats. [0:23:46] He pooched it the last time and that's what he'll do this time as it goes toward the near side of the field. [0:23:53] Cane Leneer with the return and he gets knocked on his side. [0:23:57] One of the big hits delivered by North Crowley was delivered by Aiden O'Nake, one of the special teams players. [0:24:04] The Bearcats will start inside their 30, trailing 13 to nothing. [0:24:08] They got at least trying to get something going here because now a two-score deficit against a team like this, not where you want to be. [0:24:14] No, it's not. [0:24:15] You know, like to say the turnover obviously that hurt this last possession but you just try to find a fun to rhythm on offense. [0:24:22] That's been the main issue. [0:24:23] You had one explosive play and other than that one wheel wraps his e-roberts on the sidelines, [0:24:29] there's really been a lot of no gains and you know lost three yards. [0:24:32] You know, so you're trying to find a way just consistently pick up some yards and establish a drive and move the ball down the field. [0:24:38] Tri Williams will have Jeremiah Johnson after his right little play action and rolled with the right by Williams. [0:24:43] He would throw on the right side and it's going to be caught by Cane Leneer. [0:24:46] They're going to say caught or incomplete incomplete as he was going out of bounds. [0:24:50] His momentum took him to the sideline and out of the sideline before he was able to control the football so that's an incomplete pass. [0:24:56] And it's second and 10 at the 24. [0:24:57] Yeah, and another thing North Crowley's doing is they're bringing pressure on almost every single play from somewhere. [0:25:02] They're trying to confuse the front five for the bear cats and they're having a lot of success at getting people back there and trade Williams face and making it difficult on that time. [0:25:09] Robbie Jones and the Sprint Out pass tried to move the pocket and maybe give trade Williams a little more a better view of what's down field but is well covered by the Panthers defense. [0:25:18] Kingston Parks is the receiver to the near side that is a deep eye formation that give us to Jeremiah Johnson. [0:25:22] He has nowhere to go. There has no there's not been any running room for any Alito running back. [0:25:28] Certainly so far he loses two yards on that play back to the 22 yard line and once again the bear cats are facing a third and 12. [0:25:36] The tackle was made by Brock Lacey the outside linebacker. [0:25:40] They bring on pressure virtually every single play. [0:25:42] I mean, he lines up and that will linebackers position way outside almost of the receiver but they're bringing him off the edge. [0:25:48] He's going to want him or every dots and every time are coming on a blitz. [0:25:52] So the bear cats have got to pick them up for the running game because as of right now they're having a free run into the backfield making it very tough for the bear cats. [0:25:59] Third down and a long 11 Williams to throw out of the shotgun. [0:26:02] Now has been chased and he's going to be wrapped up and then he eludes and then he's being chased again and he's finally dragged down at the 11 yard line. [0:26:09] He had one blocker in front of him and that was Dean Timberman his right guard but when you have one wide jersey going against three black jerseys that we know how that's going to end up and that's the first sack of Williams on this season. [0:26:21] Yeah, that's what wouldn't great up front for the bear cats there. [0:26:24] North Cies able to get some pressure back there pretty quick. [0:26:26] Trade Williams try to make something happen but there's just too many too many black jerseys back there from get out of get away from and once again for North Cies did a really good job on defense and forces the punt. [0:26:37] Sack covered 11 yards so it's now fourth and 22 punting out of the end zone high end over end and it's going to be caught by cunning him at about the 47 yard line in Alito territory very high hang time there by Blake could on that his second pun of the day. [0:26:55] But North Crabley will have excellent field position in Alito territory with 152 to play here in this first quarter North Crabley 13 and Alito nothing. [0:27:05] Yeah, that's not has not gone the way you would hope so far for the bear cats but you know still a lot of football left. [0:27:11] You just got to get a continuing fight on defense and offensively it's got to find get something going and find what's going to work for you. [0:27:29] Real Smith is the running back this time. [0:27:31] He'll stand to the left of Jacob to the right of Jacob Torres who will throw it quickly out of the right side. [0:27:35] The past is caught by DeMaria and May's this time he's going to get no game back to the line of scrimmage. [0:27:41] It was everything that he could do. [0:27:44] That seems to be the best defense to play for the bear cats is when they're throwing those those little quick out routes to see if they can get some blocking down field. [0:27:50] The bear cats have strung that out pretty well second and 10. [0:27:53] You know they're done a good job of getting to the side on and being physical out there on the edge and so far they've been able to limit [0:27:58] Crabley and North Crabley success on those screen passes to the side line. [0:28:01] No backs this time for Torres who's under pressure. [0:28:03] He eludes now he takes off has some running room beats a man up the middle gets toward the first down marker does get the first down marker. [0:28:10] As Cooper Hall had a beat on him but Torres made a move and got around him and got 12 yards in a first down and it's a first down from North Crabley at the Alito 35. [0:28:20] They're able to get it pressure initially there on Jacob Torres is one able to get into the ground and he's able to find some run room there and turn it into a first down. [0:28:27] The Torres didn't run that much when he was at Burles since Centennial two years ago but showing his feet right there. [0:28:33] He'll roll the pocket to his right and he will just throw it away as the bear cats brought a little pressure there [0:28:39] to kind of make him uncomfortable there a lot of that coming from Jojo Cooper. [0:28:43] Jojo Cooper really good job there and defensive in positions able to get inside leverage on the Luffins attack. [0:28:48] And really getting Torres's face almost immediately forced the amount of the pocket there and forced him to throw the ball out of bounds. [0:28:54] Torres by the way in that sophomore year at Centennial he threw for over 2,000 yards 23 touchdowns. [0:29:01] He only completed 51% of his passes but that was two years ago. [0:29:04] Another out out this time to Macy breaks the tackle gets a first down inside the 25-yard line in Alito territory. [0:29:10] Before the bear cats Dylan tell us the safety who's subbing for Nick Robles makes the play. [0:29:16] It's a pick up of 12 yards and another North Crabley first down as we are inside the first minute of this first quarter. [0:29:22] Give is to Real Smith. He has a little bit of running room. [0:29:25] Gets maybe about about a yard actually called it to the 22-yard line as Cole Cox made the play on that. [0:29:31] It's a good job open field tackle there for Cole Cox. [0:29:33] North Crabley trying to go in the hurry up off and trying to get some points here quickly. [0:29:36] They are going against the wind so this is kind of the start. [0:29:41] The the Demarca's hair. [0:29:42] So you know, Mercedes is telling us no wind down there but we're just seeing the flags blow a little bit there a little bit and they're position a little bit higher from where she's standing. [0:29:53] Give is to Smith up the middle. He breaks the tackle but the bear cats defense able to string him out. [0:29:58] Nice move there by. [0:30:00] Hayden Weaver to bring him down for no game. And that'll take us to the end of the first quarter. Well, not the start, the Bearcats were looking for two big plays, big pass play at 55 yards and then a pick six that covered 74. North Crowley's driving again when we start the second quarter in Crowley. It is North Crowley 13 and Aledo nothing back with the second after this year listening to Bearcats football. [0:30:30] We'll park Texas. We'll park Baptist Church as a proud sponsor of Aledo High School. [0:31:22] Interview staff scores and more. It's NTX varsities forts.com. [0:31:29] Start the second quarter with a third down coming up from the North Crowley offense. Let's give you the first quarter numbers here. They're brought to you by the Fort Worth Stockyards Heritage Club. 13-0 North Crowley leads. They have five first downs. The Bearcats with one and they are the Bearcats have seven Russian attempts for minus 21 yards. [0:31:48] North Crowley seven Russian attempts for 27 yards. Bearcats have passed for 44 for total yards of 23. North Crowley has also passed for 79 for total of 16 yards here. Those stats brought to you by the Fort Worth Stockyards Heritage Club. [0:32:03] So it is a third and nine at the Alito 22 yard line as we begin the second quarter. The Panthers are going from South to North here as the shade is pretty much engulfed most of the stadium. [0:32:16] It is engulfed all of the field with the exception of maybe hitting the faces of a couple of players in the helmets. But that's about it. Bearcats were showing blitz on this third and nine. Now they back it off. They're trying to see if they can confuse Taurus who's got a play clock getting away with them down to four. [0:32:30] Three, two, one. And I think North Crowley was able to get the time out which is not good when you're about to start the first play in the first quarter or second quarter. [0:32:41] And of course you got your game clock running two and you haven't run a play yet. So that's pretty impressive too. We're still going here at 11-48. But don't worry about that. Eventually someone's going to stop it and they're going to have to reset. [0:32:52] They're going to have to reset it at 12 minutes because we have not going to play in this quarter yet. It's down to 11-46. And I'm hoping that the referee will get the clock operators attention here and say can you put forth together telling them right now to do that. [0:33:06] But that was kind of fun. Everyone has a first game. [0:33:10] Coming out of the starting a second quarter coming out of a time out like that you definitely don't have to burn one. You know as the head coach there but it's better to do that when you're in third and nine and not take a five yard loss in that situation. [0:33:24] Each of the better opportunity to convert here in this situation. So each team has burned a time out. Each has two remaining here for the second quarter. [0:33:31] So once again, third and nine for the Panthers at the Alito 22 yard line leading 13 to nothing receivers are bunched to the near side. [0:33:40] Bearcats are showing blitz and it is going to be a give over the middle breaking one tackle trying to drag some tackers with him near the first down yard marker by Rell Smith. [0:33:49] And I think he got it. Boy, that was great running. He made one move to the right. [0:33:54] And more manageable situation for him. So first and 10 at the 12 yard line tourist to throw the passes to wide and it's off the hands of maze on the near side of the field he was covered by Jordan Hall to bring up a second down and 10 coming up. [0:34:17] Yeah, they're trying to get the bottom maze out there in open space and it's one on one him and Jordan Hall right now. [0:34:22] And they're going to try to utilize his athleticism. See if you can make somebody miss and find his way to the end zone there. [0:34:28] And that's a size difference to you got maze at 6300 and you got Hall at 511 170. So two receivers now to the near side Hayden Green lines up with maze on the near side one receiver to the far side shot gun for tors with a back to his left. [0:34:43] That's going to be Smith who gets the carry up the middle pushing his way forward. He gets maybe a yard maybe two looks like it's going to be one so to bring up third and nine and two your point just a few moments ago when they had a third and nine. [0:34:56] And that they were going to probably make it a four out situation. I would suspect here what we've seen so far the early indications that their kicking game may not be the strongest could be four out of territory. [0:35:06] Yeah, I think it is, especially with you know, as well as North Kralis defenses played so far this game. [0:35:12] You know, if you turn the ball over in this situation here, turn over on down. I think you like where your defense isn't here. [0:35:18] The two teams are keeping the bear cats contain tors to throw. He was facing some pressure. Smith catches it. Leap rogues over a player down the sideline. He gets into the end zone for the North Krali touchdown. [0:35:29] That's just beautiful athleticism right there because it was a well called defense by the bear catches. They brought the blitz. And then that was all real Smith on that catch and run that covered 12 yards. [0:35:40] Yeah, the touchdown was a really good job there by DeMarian Maes on the outside just absolutely, you know, leveled his defender and really from there is only one guy to beat the end zone. [0:35:50] There's a really good play call. And once again North Kralis is doing a really good job of executing. They aren't making very many mistakes. They're they're able to pick up overcome third and longs and they're just playing really well right now. [0:36:00] Louis on for the extra point and it is good. 11 minutes and two seconds to play here in the second quarter. It hasn't been like this in many, many a time for the bear cats, but it is it is now it is 20 to nothing North Krali leads a lead oh and you're listening to bear cats football on Hank FF. Welcome back to them to a Leo bear cats football here on Hank FF. [0:37:31] They were sponsoring the bear cats at one time. Happy to have them back. [0:37:35] This kickoff from Kava Lewis goes out of bounds. [0:37:38] So it's a penalty against North Crowley and a little will start with solid field position at its 39 yard line. [0:37:44] The CSG went at West Granite and Flores drive summary for North Crowley. [0:37:48] 10 plays. 10 minutes and 53 seconds. [0:37:51] Our excuse me two minutes and 52 seconds off the clock. [0:37:54] This Relsmith catch and run 12 yard touchdown pass from Torres Taurus's second touchdown pass and it's 20 to nothing North Crowley leads. [0:38:03] Jeremiah Johnson on this carry on the outside. [0:38:06] He has some running room to the midfield stripe into North Crowley territory and he gets pushed out of bounds at about the 46 yard line. [0:38:13] It's a 15 yard pickup and a bull goose construction finishing and epoxy first down. [0:38:20] We have a job of going in the running game there. [0:38:24] They're able to attack the outside. Good job blocking down field by Colby Thomas and Jeremiah Johnson's able to get a big gain there to start off the series. [0:38:34] So first intent of the North Crowley 46 yard line Williams to throw pressures on passes caught. [0:38:39] Matt McSniress has a first down inside the 35. He gets up ended and he falls at about the 31 yard line after another 15 yard pass play and a bull goose construction first down. [0:38:50] And so the bear cats now have back to back consecutive plays best you plays that we've seen from them so far. [0:38:56] Maybe the idea was to fall behind 20 to nothing and then get going. [0:38:59] Probably at the best strategy. [0:39:00] I have a feeling that wasn't part of the plan but a lot of see him here getting something going on offense. [0:39:05] That's time really royal ran route by Matt Maddox nurse there is able to get the first down for the bear cats. [0:39:11] Jeremiah Johnson on this first down carry. Well that plays going to go in a bear. [0:39:15] He got stood up quickly by Antonio Smith. He loses two yards back to the 33 yard. [0:39:20] But my point is maybe they can pull with South Lake Carol did last night because the dragons. [0:39:26] They didn't hear they were playing Jank so Oklahoma at the cotton bowl last night. [0:39:30] They were behind 27 and nothing and they came all the way back and won the game 34 33. [0:39:36] So they're saying there's a chance. [0:39:39] I just think you know Elitos has got to find a way to get some points here especially before half get. [0:39:45] Get the ball in the end zone somehow and give yourself a little confidence that you know you can go out here and get moved the ball and put some points on the board. [0:39:52] Second and 12. Man it jumps off sides. It is a shuffle pass to Colby Thompson. [0:39:57] He gets two about the [0:40:00] 30 Arlin, the flags were dropped on that, that's got to be off sides on Brock Lacey who was trying to catch the pass to Colby Thompson on that shuffle. He was trying to time the blitz, was a good job so far. There's been a couple times, North Crowley's been able to hit time that blitz just right and hit the back, field almost immediately that time. I leave it to the nice job of holding the ball a little longer, getting them off sides and taking the free five yards. So the five yard penalty pushes it to the 28-yard line in North Crowley territory. So that makes it second down on a little better. [0:40:30] The pass play is wiped off. It's now second down and call it seven at the 28-yard line. Bearcats trying to respond here down 20 to nothing. It is a gift to Jeremiah Johnson and once again he is greeted by Antonio Smith. Well, Antonio Smith has had a great start to his ball game. Again, he's a senior 62270 and he's got some offers with him too. No, yeah. And he's he's playing, you know, this outstanding right now. Nobody's been able to really do much in terms of trying to slow him down at all. It's, you know, they keep running the ball out of which I like. [0:41:00] Trying to establish a run, but it seems at this point you're having a lot more success trying to run to the outside and up the middle, which at this point until somebody proves that they can block the guy, you're going to have to try to explore those options more often. There's a loss of one and now it makes it third and eight at the 29-yard line, which is actually the shortest need that the Bearcats have had so far in this ballgame. Williams to throw blitzers on. Pass is going to be knocked away at the last second. Pass was intended for Palmquist in a great timing play there by Trevon Warren, the safety who made him right at the point. [0:41:30] And then the point of the ball coming in. Trey Williams got knocked down. He's hobbling a little bit, but he gets up and now fourth down coming up for the Bearcats and it looks like Robbie Jones is going to keep the offense on the field. Yeah, and that was actually a really good play call. The ball just came out about half a second too late there. If the ball gets there a little earlier, they're able to convert that for a first down. Really good defensive play there for the Panthers. [0:41:52] Warren really good job timing that up, not getting there early and getting the pass interference call is able to break up the play and force a really big play here in this early in this ballgame for the Bearcats. [0:42:02] So fourth down and eight for the Bearcats at the North Crowley 29-yard line trying to answer down 20 to nothing. And so Robbie Jones will burn the Bearcats second time out. We'll keep it here as the Bearcats are trying to again, they have to get to the 21-yard line in order to convert this first down. [0:42:19] I want to remind you that our first of the season Willow Park Baptist Church half-time report will be coming your way. We'll have a little Bearcats sports page brought to you by Mercedes. [0:42:29] We'll also have our recruiting minute from Billy M. Body from on rivals on three that will have our visit with Robbie Jones. [0:42:38] And of course, we'll have a statistical breakdown. Not a lot of good stats to tell you about at this point, but again, the Bearcats, they knew what they were getting into with this non-district schedule. [0:42:47] This will probably be the best team that they see. This is nothing against Wake-Up Midway who they'll see next week or you'll just Trinity who they'll see in their third non-district game. [0:42:57] But North Crowley is as good as advertised. [0:43:00] Absolutely. I mean, across the board, they're big, they're physical and they've got a ton of speed on this team both sides of the ball. [0:43:06] And they just if you make any type of mistake, they make you pay for it. That's what we've seen so far. The pick six and the deep touchdown pass earlier in the first quarter. [0:43:15] They just they just been able to kind of do whatever they wanted. Now, Leo's done good job in spots, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but they just hadn't been enough so far this evening. [0:43:23] All right. So fourth and eighth for the Bearcats coming out of their second burn timeout. This is at the North Crowley 29. Again, have to get to the 21 844 to play here second quarter. [0:43:32] Williamson throwing this fourth down being blitzed pass is caught for first down. That's Caden Palmquist over the middle down the right seam. [0:43:39] Get to about the 17-yard line call at the 16. It is a bull goose construction first down and the Bearcats do conferred on fourth down. [0:43:47] It's really good job there. Tray Williams standing in the pocket. No, he's going to get hit once again. North Crowley brings pressure. [0:43:52] He's able to stand there step up and deliver a really good pass there to Palmquist for a really crucial first down in this ballgame. [0:43:59] Bearcats would like to really get a touchdown here if they can here as they got plenty of time to work with here on this first and 10 at the 16-yard line following that 13-yard pass play. [0:44:08] Give us over the right side the Jeremiah Johnson. He had a little bit of a seem to work with then try to cut it in, but the speed of the North Crowley defense closed that whole quickly. [0:44:17] It's a pick up of about two yards, maybe three. Looks like they're going to call it just inside the 14-yard line. [0:44:24] So technically a favorable that's a very generous two-yard play there for the Bearcats here. But again, you have to show North Crowley that you're going to be committed to the run even though it hasn't been very solid, even though it hasn't been very productive at this point. [0:44:38] Second down at eight. Williamson throw the passes high and just off the left hand of Colby Thompson in the end zone might have led him just a little bit too much on that play on that. [0:44:48] But it was a good call there because Thompson was breaking free behind a couple of defenders just couldn't haul it in. [0:44:54] There's a really good read there by Trey Williams. The safety actually tried to undercut that ball. So you know a little bit lower. They probably would have been, you know, celebrated a touchdown right now. [0:45:03] I like the aggressiveness continue push the bottom field and then go back to play before that and run into the outside there. They pulled the guard and tackle and they had a lane. [0:45:12] They're going for Jeremiah Johnson, but North Crowley did a good job of shut it down. But I like the idea of running to the outside that they have Johnson. [0:45:20] Johnson is the running back next to Williams. He stands to the left of Trey Williams on this third and eight at the 14-yard line. And now we got whistles and we got a penalty marker. [0:45:27] I think the bear cats let the slake lock run out here or there was a little bit of movement here. We'll get the call here from Bernard Gray. It is a procedure penalty against the bear cats. [0:45:36] So now third and eight becomes third and 13. That is their second penalty of the night. Two for 10 yards. By the way, penalties North Crowley, four for 30 and half of those 30 yards and that roughing the punter penalty from Alito's first possession of the ballgame. [0:45:52] So now third and 13. The ball pushed back to the 19-yard line. Again, the bear cats have to get to the North Crowley six to convert. [0:46:01] Izzy Roberts is now the running back to receivers to the far side. Pinkston or as Kingston parks rather, the far outside receiver. Williams to throw the little time in pattern. [0:46:10] Izzy Roberts, he gets absolutely leveled as he's trying to make the catch at the seven-yard line. He got absolutely decked by Elijah Wann Houston, the senior safety who was committed to Arizona State. [0:46:24] I don't know if he hit him high. He hit him high and was flag coming out because he hit him head-to-head contact. I mean, absolutely. That flag came out late by the way. [0:46:35] I'm not sure what they're waiting on there. That was, I mean, he went high. When you're throwing that wheel route, that's the one thing you can't do as a quarterback is floated up there like that because it takes forever to get to that spot of the field. [0:46:48] And you give the safety just a ton of time to recover and come down hill just like that happen. It's really good job. Izzy Roberts able to get up and walk off because that was a massive hit. [0:46:57] I will say this, though. I think you can see where the plays are there. The timing is not right there for the little offense just yet. But I think this will be a game where the coach is at regardless of how this game finishes. [0:47:08] But there's going to be a lot on this type of tape to work look on here and see we need to be just a quick hair here. That's sort of fine. And so the officials are done discussing this play as Bernard Gray, the official can well actually they're not discussing it. [0:47:25] Bernard Gray is still having a discussion here, but this should be an Alito first down at about the North Crowley six or seven yard line because that's a penalty against. [0:47:33] They're keeping the offense on the field, of course. And that is a so they call it a targeting penalty against Houston. [0:47:44] But they call it non-flagorant. It's. We've had so many changes in that target penalty over the five years. [0:47:52] But the ball is March 10 yards to the 10 yard line. So it's now first and goal for the bear cats at the 10 yard line power pistol formation again that first down brought to you by bull goes construction on this first down here. They give us to Jeremiah Johnson has a little bit of room. But he only gets one yard. [0:48:08] He was kind of chopping his feet and he should have just kept running straight ahead. I think. Yeah, especially against this North Crow defense is good as they are up front. We're not going to have a lot of time to dance in the back. [0:48:17] But you really just going to have to make a decision to live with it and just try to get down hills quickly as he can because it was they've shown so far. [0:48:23] And I they're really good a job that's walling you up in the backfield. So the quicker you can get out of there the better bear cats by the way with their second penalty via the North Crowley defense here and. [0:48:37] And it's a second and goal at the nine yard line power pistol formation the fullback is Caden Palmquist pocket rolls to the left in the passage tipped at the line of scrimmages. [0:48:47] Williams was rolling to his left and it got tipped as he was throwing it falls harmlessly to the ground at the five yard line there. [0:48:55] Pretty good defensive play there to just to break that play up. Yeah, there was really good coverage out there. They're trying to roll the pocket to the left trade wins. [0:49:02] They're trying to find a scene there in the defense versus well covered really nowhere for them to throw the ball. [0:49:07] So third down a goal for the bear cats at the North Crowley. [0:49:11] Nine yard line the bear cats are three of eight on third down and their average need is a bunch like ten. [0:49:19] But they only need but they need eight and they need eight because that's that's all they can get to score. [0:49:26] Or actually they need nine here third and goal the nine of bigger pardon. [0:49:30] And then they need to pressure on this third down he drops the football. [0:49:33] It's on the ground and it's going to be recovered by the Panthers coming up with the loose football is Antonio Smith. [0:49:39] And the bear cats turn it over for the second time tonight. [0:49:42] That ball just got knocked out of Tray Williams hand as he was trying to elude a defender. [0:49:46] And I think it was a defender from behind that punched it out. [0:49:49] And so once that happened. [0:49:51] There were no white jerseys around to try and see if they could save it. [0:49:55] This one was no elite the center but it was North Crowley's ball. [0:50:00] The third, 13 yardline, second turnover tonight against the Bearcats. And so North Crowley's defense stiffens. The Bearcats are turned away with 638 to play here in the second quarter. 20 to nothing North Crowley leads. Yeah, that was that was a that's a don't hurt there. I mean, they had the ball inside the 10 there trying to find a way to get the ball in the end zone here and get back in this ball game and turn it over there. It's just that's a killer. But Hansen still in the first half of the ball game. He's got to find a way to get back into it. Well, would we helpful for the Bearcats here if they could get a turnover or just to three it out? [0:50:30] Torres to throw on first and 10 in this 13. He's got some room. He'll roll to the right. He will run win the race to the sideline as he runs away from. [0:50:38] Caden Weaver, he'll get 8 to the 21 yardline. It'll bring up second down and 2 at the 21 have to get to the 23. [0:50:49] And Torres showing some steps here tonight. He's got three carries for 23 yards on the second down and short. It is a give up the middle running room for [0:51:01] key out the ingram. He does have a first down across the 25 and it's going to be about to the 29 yardline. [0:51:06] It's a pick up of eight yards. Now the Panthers want to work quickly here to see if they can keep the Bearcats on their heels. [0:51:13] Torres will throw quickly on a first down maze. We'll catch the first catch the pass. [0:51:17] He breaks Jordan Hall's tackle. But the Bearcats case of Evans is able to fight through and push maze out of bounds after a short pickup of about [0:51:26] 4 or 5 yards to about the 34 yardline. So that could have been worse too. [0:51:32] Yeah, and it's just kind of the theme so far. And I just North Crabley's just they haven't had a lot of negative plays. [0:51:36] You know, they throw the ball flat like that. It's still able to get five or six yards out of it. [0:51:39] And here we go again to maze on the outside. He gets gang tackled. But not before he gets a first down to the 40 yardline. [0:51:45] Cole Cox on the tackle. But better blocking on the outside or enough blocking on the outside for the Panthers. [0:51:52] Yeah, and North Crabley's going hurry up here. Lido's trying to get subs in and off the field. [0:51:56] They're trying to speed the game up here and really try to wear this a Bearcats defense down. [0:52:01] Now we have an official timeout on the field here. It looks like the referee Bernard Gray was trying to make sure because you know [0:52:13] if the offense doesn't substitute the defense can't but if the offense does and the defense has to be given the opportunity to substitute. [0:52:20] So that's why why everything got held up. Torres over a hundred yards passing tonight. [0:52:25] He will throw in the passes knocked away by Amari Dimbo who I think didn't see it into the last second. [0:52:32] He could have had a big paw and catch up for an interception. But nonetheless, it's second down and ten coming up at the 40. [0:52:38] I think over time though, this this duo between Amari Dimbo and Amari Dimbo and time and mix is really going to show itself. [0:52:50] Throughout the course of the season, we'll go to the sidelines and Mercedes here in just a second on second intent at the 40. [0:52:55] Arline for the Panthers. Torres to throw looks to the left now looks down the middle pressure now he's dancing and he will throw it down the middle of the field. [0:53:03] The pass is going to be incomplete. The intended receiver was Hayden Green. There were two wide jerseys around to him. [0:53:09] Ashton Abel was one of those and let's get let's get more from Mercedes Meyer down on the sidelines. Go ahead Mercedes. [0:53:15] Hey guys, let's talk into questions about Amari moving to the defensive line from the offensive line. [0:53:19] I said, you know, how's it going? How do you how do we like it? And he said was offensive play carler? I haven't liked it at all actually. [0:53:27] Now there's not a lock that I mean, Robby's schedule has absolutely been flipped upside down if you heard Mercedes report in our pregame show that he's taken over pretty much one of the entire offense. [0:53:36] Since Joe Williams moved a gutter. Torres to throw he beats the blitz throws a little screen pass out. A flag comes in. [0:53:43] Pass was caught by Price Demerson for a six yard catch and run to the 46 yard line. Typically that's going to be holding when they throw the flag out there on a sideline screen. [0:53:56] One of the receiver and they're going to write you are Mr. Hicks. So you're in mid season form on that holding call there or maybe you've seen enough football and you're trying to maybe do know that we've all seen enough. [0:54:07] She's in context clues here that's typically what they're going to go with. [0:54:11] You know teachers like to say are you using context clues for this? It is a 10 yard walk off back to the 30 yard line. So North Krali facing its longest third down attempt of this ballgame third and 20 at its 30 yard line. [0:54:25] 539 to play here in what is a slow moving first half. It is North Krali 20 and Alito nothing. The bear cats have been victimized by a couple of turnovers and a couple of North Krali big plays. [0:54:37] They're hung in there. They've just under pressure. Speaking of under pressure. Torres breaks one now is able to run up the field to the 35 40 and slides down to about the 43 yard line. [0:54:49] And he absolutely got out of jail in his backfield. He was absolutely trapped in his 25 yard line. But he kept his cool and was still able to get 13 yards. [0:55:00] It's still going to be well shy of a first down as he has seven yards shy so the holding penalty does work in the Bearcats favor. [0:55:30] He gets it off and it is not a great pun and went off the side of his foot. And if there is a weakness here for North Crowley, it is in their kicking game. [0:55:38] This pun went well short. They're still walking it up on the field judges. He's walking across the 40 and then he stops at about the 42 yard on. [0:55:46] It's only a 15 yard pun. So the Bearcats defense does its job because after the emotionally deflating turnover a few moments ago, the Bearcats do allow one first down but they do get North Crowley off the field. [0:55:59] And so the Bearcats offense has another opportunity here with very good field position to work with. They do have one time out remaining here with 443 on the clock. [0:56:10] Is he Roberts? Is the running back for the Bearcats in this first down play? [0:56:16] The Maddox nurse is split out to the near side. Colby Thompson is also in there. He's split out as a wide receiver as well. [0:56:23] And we have flags before this play is running a lot of movement here by the Bearcats. I think that's going to be a procedure penalty. [0:56:29] So they're going to guess what will be behind the chains. And they've been behind the chains quite a bit so far tonight. Unfortunately. [0:56:35] Yeah, that's been the story of the night of the first half so far, at least for the offense. It's just, you know, it's been a lot of mistakes. [0:56:41] You know, that's how I'm an untimely penalty turnovers. Haven't really been able to get a lot going in the run of game now. [0:56:46] They found a few things in the passing game, especially in that last series, but overall it's just had a lot of consistency coming from the offense this evening. [0:56:54] We've seen flashes of some really good place and some good plays that came very close to developing. Now it's just a matter of getting that done. [0:57:00] Give is up the middle to Izzy Roberts and he gets absolutely demolished by Avery Dotson, the linebacker who charged from the gap. [0:57:10] And there is nowhere to go. And that's another loss on that play. That's back to the 32 yard line. [0:57:15] And that's a loss of another five years. It was just an unblocked guy. Nobody blocked the defensive tackle there and just absolutely. [0:57:22] I think you're part of that was a little Antonio Smith who made that. Absolutely. Leveled. You know, Izzy Roberts had no chance there. [0:57:26] You cannot turn a three technique unblocked loose from the backfield like that. And that's what happened there. [0:57:31] And you know, Izzy Roberts once again took a pretty big hit there from the Panthers defense. [0:57:36] So second down and call it 20 for the bear cats. Now the 32 yard line play action. Pass cop by Colby Thompson first down across the midfield striping. [0:57:45] Getting tackled at about the 47 yard line. Actually, given the first time before it was actually tackled, but he did get it. [0:57:51] That is brought to you by bull moves concrete finishing an epoxy our new first down sponsor thanks to them, but that pass play covered 20 yards exactly. [0:58:01] And the bear cats now at the North Crowley 48. Jeremiah Johnson is the running back on this and he will get the carry with a little bit of running room. [0:58:12] He will get inside the 45 down to the 44 yard line. And they'll officially give him three yards about the 45 yard line. [0:58:21] And so it'll be second down and call it a long six short seven 3 30 and running here in this first half North Crowley 20. Alito nothing. And again, don't forget the Willow Park Baptist Church half time report comes your way with Mercedes. [0:58:36] She'll have the Alito sports page. The volleyball season is already three weeks into its campaign. [0:58:42] So second down and call it a short seven play action for Williams pressure dances to the right. And then he's buried behind the line of scrimmage at the 47 yard line in Alito territory. [0:58:54] Second sack of the night for the defense for North Crowley. There was just nowhere to go is the pressure. Just more black jerseys and white jerseys could block. [0:59:03] You know, the bear cats up front. They're not how they haven't had a good first half. I mean a lot of pressure, especially coming from up the middle from the defensive tackles from North Crowley. [0:59:11] They've really done a good job of getting in the backfield pretty much that will and that time. You know, Alito's in a good spot there trying to convert us and move the ball, you know, a little closer to the goal line. [0:59:23] Just once again, get knocked back and you're in a third and long here. Yeah, third and 15 for the bear cats at their own 47 have to get to the North Crowley 38 and we got whistles before the play has run. [0:59:33] We might have a procedure penalty, but while we have this break, the one thing that Robbie Jones has been concerned about here, ending fall camp and starting the season, we're injuries to his offensive line and some position changes. [0:59:44] Obviously, a Mario Dimbo moved over to the defensive front trip called well, one of their key figures on their deep on their offensive line last year, not available to play for the foreseeable future. [0:59:55] It's uncertain when he will return at this point, but he was a valuable member. And of course you've got again with a Mario Dimbo, and that is a procedure penalty against the bear cat. So walk it back five. [1:00:05] But you mix that in with the Mari moving over to the defense. You have Grant Foreman, who's the only returning offensive lineman. And so Cooper Elms getting some burn. [1:00:15] He saw some time last year, but Leonidas Keith is new. No, a leak is new. Dean Timberman did see some time last year, but you know, this is a big baptism by fire against this defensive front on this third and call it 20 for the bear cats at their 42 yard line. Williams to throw the passes too high. [1:00:32] And he was looking for Maddox, and he was about the 40 set in the yard line. He was only going to be a short pickup. And so the bear cats will have to punt. Yeah, and that's kind of what you're touch on what you were talking about there about, you know, just getting kind of thrown into the fire here. It's really, you know, they're going to have to grow up quickly up the front five, you know, because you're going to see players like your scenes tonight, pretty consistently through the season. Now, not a team. I don't think it's good as no, I don't think you're going to run across one like that. [1:01:00] Well, much later in the season, but you know, you got to be, you got to be able to consistently block guys like this and so far tonight has just been tough for him. [1:01:07] Blake could with a great high end over and punt a great hang time. And the one thing that Robbie Jones loved about him is the hang time he gets on his punts. And we saw it right there. The fair catch was made by Cunningham at the 19 yard line. That punt covered 39 yards. And so North Crowley will start at its 19 yard line with 158 to play here in the first quarter. Panthers 20 bear cats. Nothing. [1:01:29] I think it's, you know, there's again, instead of a few moments ago, Kyle, there's, there's going to be so much tape for them to break down about timing and things like that. And again, this is a really difficult assignment in this opener, but one that the bear cats wanted. [1:01:44] And sometimes you're okay with something like this, especially when you're moving up to a new classification. Show us where we are. Show us where we need to be if we're going to play at this level and be successful at it. [1:01:54] And I think offensively, you're typically going to be a little further behind the defense just because of the amount of timing that goes into an offense running efficiently. And you know, again, going against the team like North Crowley, you're going to find out real quick what you're good at what you're not good at, because they're going to expose you if you have some weaknesses and. [1:02:10] And they're going to show you what you need to work on what should you get better on so. [1:02:14] Talk about in the pre game, you know, it reminds me when he played that dent and guy or team from a few years ago, I think they got beat by 20, 25 points, whatever was that Jackson Arnold and a couple. [1:02:25] They're really big. [1:02:26] Like 41 or 14 years ago, they get one of the worst loss as we've seen around here in a while, but that loss, they really learned a lot about themselves. They learned what they, you know, what they had. [1:02:36] And they're able to progress from there and get better as a season goes. So regardless, you know, what happens. They got to take what they can from this game, continue to work, find what they're good at and progress as the season goes on. [1:02:49] We have an official timeout here, but one thing we wanted to point out too is that we have the two minute time out, which is why we're at 158. So that's why we're all waiting for this. I forgot we were the two minute timeout was back in college. [1:03:02] I'm not going to let this go game, but that's why we're stopping here. But I will say this about the about the fact that you use the offense conceptually what we can see where there's a lot of great things that can develop over time. [1:03:14] And the other thing about North Crowley, you know, we talked about all these Alito streaks that they've had over the years, winning streaks and so forth. [1:03:20] Well, North Crowley has won 54 out of its last 58 games from 2022 to 2025. They're pretty good. Yeah, they're pretty good. [1:03:29] This first downplay they give us up the middle. There's running room for Rell Smith. Now they're in a district though. That's where it's going to be really difficult for them. They're in 11 6 a after that seven yard run, but they're in Duncanville's district in 11 6 a they're they got moved over to region two. [1:03:45] So it's a new world for them. They're also in it with walks of hatching. We got whistles on a flag and we got a procedure kind of they coming up on that on the panthers. But yeah, they're in that district because that and that district change because the soda dropped down and Cedar Hill dropped down. [1:04:00] But but walks a hatchy who's really whose program see walks a hatchy is another program that moved up from 586 a and they went into the district of June last year with Cedar Hill, the soda. [1:04:12] Duncanville they had to cut their teeth. They kind of got their nose bloody that first year. But last year they went. They had a great season. They got they beat Duncanville by one point and then they got to that. [1:04:22] I think the regional final against Duncanville before they got beat by the panthers, but they showed some growth. And so I think you know there's examples that a little can look to maybe walks a hatchy as one of those. [1:04:32] Yeah. And it's just something like we talked about. You're going to it's going to be you know, like you said, kind of baptism by fire. You're going to you're going to find out what you're made of. [1:04:40] And you know what you're going to have to the level. You're going to have to play that. And as long as they continue you know moving towards that goal and continuing to progress each week. [1:04:48] I think this coach's staff will get the team is that where they want them to be. All right. So they apparently they walked the flag off back to the 22 yard. I could not really make out. [1:05:00] With the official Bernard Gray was saying a few moments ago, but the five yard walkoff back to the 21 yard line here with a minute 26 to play here in the second quarter. [1:05:10] Bearcats are trying to see if they can get North Crowley off the field. [1:05:13] They are showing blitz, Torres on a quick out there to Maze. [1:05:16] He's got a little running room. [1:05:17] He beats Jordan Hall, gets across the 30, gets pushed out of bounds at about the 35 yard line. [1:05:22] Making that tackle for the Bearcats defense was Dylan Tillis the safety. [1:05:28] Again, he's replacing Nick Robles tonight. [1:05:32] And so now North Crowley wants to work quickly, but the clock did stop with 114, so they have 65 yards to work with with a minute 14. [1:05:39] They also have a couple, they also have two time out, one, two time outs in their back pocket. [1:05:43] Deep down, field pass is going to be caught. [1:05:45] 10, 5, touchdown. [1:05:49] Big vertical on that pass play to Kane, Smith covers 65 yards. [1:05:55] And the Panthers have now got a four score lead at 26 to nothing. [1:06:00] Yeah, there's nothing special. [1:06:02] They ran a go route and once again they're able to connect deep down field. [1:06:06] And that one just really tough there on the Bearcats defense. [1:06:09] You're trying to find a way to keep out of the end zone and you got to make a little tougher than that on them. [1:06:14] They're able to, once again, strike from deep and you're in a pretty big hole at this point. [1:06:19] One on one coverage is going to be a mismatch tonight and it's shown twice here as [1:06:24] Damarian Mays had one long gainer that went for 55. [1:06:27] This one to Kate Smith goes 65 yards and so it's now 26 to nothing as Cabo Lewis on for the extra block to point. [1:06:34] It's blocked picked up by the Bearcats and covered by JoJo Cooper. [1:06:38] So at least if anything, they were able to deny the 27th point. [1:06:42] Second time that the extra point has been missed by North Crowley, but it is now a huge hole for the Bearcats here. [1:06:50] Trailing 26 to nothing with 105 to play in the first half here. [1:06:54] We'll keep it here. [1:06:56] Again, the Willow Park Baptist here, Chaff Time Report comes your way next. [1:07:01] Mercedes will have a report on the volleyball team. [1:07:04] They're down in, they are, she's back up here now. [1:07:08] No tournament play this weekend or are they an internament? [1:07:11] They are an internament play. [1:07:12] They are an internament this weekend, but 17 and 4 was the last I saw of them so they're off to a pretty good start. [1:07:17] In their 6A run, then we'll obviously have some scores from around the area. [1:07:22] Tell you about the big comeback by South Lake Carol last night against Jinks, Oklahoma. [1:07:27] We'll get a comment from Robbie Jones. [1:07:29] I don't wish that upon you, Mercedes, but it is what it is. [1:07:34] And then we'll obviously have statistical breakdown of the Bearcats in the first half here. [1:07:38] 26 to nothing North Crowley leads. [1:07:40] 105 to play here in our first half. [1:07:43] This kickoff is brought to by our friends at Miser, orthodontics. [1:07:47] And Caval Lewis will do the honors. [1:07:49] He's been the kickoff specialist and the extra point guy all season, all game long. [1:07:54] And it's going to be a field that at the 2015 yard, let me Cooper hold tries to get to the outside 25. [1:07:59] Beats a tackler to the 30 keeps his legs and then he's finally pushed out of bounds at about the 31-32 yard. [1:08:06] And so the Bearcats offense will start at the 30-32 yard. [1:08:11] But a flag comes in at the end of the play. [1:08:14] We'll see what this is all about here. [1:08:16] Let's see, one of the Bearcats getting passionate earful from one of the coaches. [1:08:21] I'm assuming it's going to be on a lead-oaks. [1:08:22] He didn't look too happy. [1:08:27] And we'll wait for the officiate and crew to tell us what this area is here on this penalty. [1:08:33] Again Bernard Gray is our referee out of the Fort Worth chapter here. [1:08:36] It is a personal foul face mask. [1:08:39] And then it'll actually go against North Crowley. [1:08:41] So the Bearcats will get an extra 15 yards. [1:08:44] It looks like they will officially ended the kickoff return to about the 31 yard on. [1:08:49] So the Bearcats will start at their 46 yard line. [1:08:53] And we have an official timeout. [1:08:55] I think there's a Bearcat. [1:08:56] Yeah, there was a Bearcat that got hurt on the other side of the field following the kickoff. [1:09:00] And so the training staff under the direction of Troy Little is working on that. [1:09:04] I just cannot see who that is on the far side of the field. [1:09:07] As he is lying on his back. [1:09:09] And our press box side is on the west side of the stadium. [1:09:17] And I think they're able to get that player up. [1:09:20] And what I was saying was Cooper Hull that got banged up on that. [1:09:23] So actually the kick returner actually took the brunt of that. [1:09:26] And when he got thrown down at the end of that kickoff return, but he appears to be [1:09:30] okay, hobbling a little bit. [1:09:31] But the Bearcats will start first in 10 at their 46 yard line under a minute to play. [1:09:35] Pass is wide, but caught at about the midfieldstrap as the clock continues to run. [1:09:40] Cane lamire with the grab that play covers three yards. [1:09:42] But that was really wide out there. [1:09:44] But the Bearcats are going to have to hurry. [1:09:46] They do have one time out remaining here with the clock running under 40 seconds. [1:09:50] But Adam and Robbie Jones is in too big, big of a hurry here. [1:09:53] He might just want to run a couple of plays here and then get to the locker room. [1:09:58] Ball on the near hash. [1:09:59] 29 seconds. [1:10:00] Williams to throw. [1:10:01] Blitz is on. [1:10:02] He'll dump the screen this time. [1:10:03] It works. [1:10:04] And it gets a decent game there to Jeremiah Johnson. [1:10:07] His first catch of the night. [1:10:08] He gets three yards to about the North Crowley 48 yard line. [1:10:11] The Panthers defense will gladly surrender that as the Bearcats will kind of line up [1:10:17] in a half huddle here. [1:10:18] And I don't think Robbie will want to run another play or maybe he will. [1:10:21] Maybe one more here. [1:10:22] At least they're line up acting like they want to run one, three, two, one. [1:10:28] And they do get the playoff. [1:10:29] They give it to Jeremiah Johnson. [1:10:31] And he will be taken down for a pickup of about three yards to the 45 yard line. [1:10:36] And that's the way the first half ends. [1:10:38] Now the first 24 minutes for Alito football in class 6A. [1:10:43] Not so good. [1:10:44] A three big plays for North Crowley defensively and offensively. [1:10:48] Some flashes from the offense that shows you that it can get better during the course [1:10:51] of the season. [1:10:52] But this is a learning game for the Bearcats. [1:10:55] They trail North Crowley by a score of 26 to nothing. [1:10:58] Half time show comes your way next. [1:10:59] And you're listening to Alito Bearcats football on 92.1 Hank FM. [1:11:04] You're home for real country. [1:11:06] 38 years 90s and 2000s KTFW Glen Rose Grandberry 92.1 Hank FM. [1:14:20] Our Sadies here with you are half time show. [1:14:22] Go over the Alito Sports page. [1:14:24] Like Kevin said, a lot already happening on the Alito campus. [1:14:27] The Alito JV Black team had a pretty gritty victory last night against North Crowley. [1:14:33] Just a dominant, complete team performance. [1:14:36] The defense was led by Cash Keaton and Gunness and Dollar. [1:14:40] The Panthers were held to only six points in the game. [1:14:45] The quarterback Preston Tubbs had a nice crucial touchdown pass in the game. [1:14:50] Running back Dre Holder had one touchdown run. [1:14:55] Here Davis Afghani provided a three clutch field goal. [1:15:00] And put the game out of reach for the JV Black team. The JV Orange team fell just short, 26-23 in a hard fought battle. Sawyer Smith led the offensive quarterback. Ace Torres made key plays. Defensively, Dane Gartman came up with an interception and Luke Roach made an impact at defensive end. Fought really hard in that game but fell just short, 26-23. And the Aledo freshman football teams opened up the 20-26 season. Others night, they traveled to North Crowley and both ended up winning. The Black team had a [1:15:30] 28-to-nothing shutout and the Orange team had a 21-14 victory. The Black team set the tone with a physical performance on both sides of the ball, had a powerful running attack and a really suffocating defense. Aledo attempted just two passes all night and the offense consistently moved the football on the ground and wore down the Panther's defense. Defense was even more impressive holding North Crowley's scoreless and allowing the Panthers to manage just three first downs for the entire game. Again, the Black team with a 28-nothing shutout. The Orange team, freshman Orange team. [1:15:59] They had also a strong performance. They were up 21-nothing at half-time. North Crowley then kind of had a second half come back and put them within striking distance but the Orange defense forced to withstand the last charge they came through at the end of the game. With the game on the line, stopped them on a goal line. [1:16:19] Stop North Crowley on a goal line stance and preserve the 21-14 victory. Again, both freshman teams with the win over North Crowley yesterday. Remember, all season long, if the varsity, wherever the varsity plays is where the freshman play and the JV plays the opposite. [1:16:34] Next week in with Waco Midway, it will be varsity at home and freshman at home and JV on the road. [1:16:41] Cross Country has gotten off to a great start this season. Last season, if you remember, the girls and boys both made it state both fair and very well finishing third and fourth and having individual medalists. [1:16:56] They are starting off strong. There's a lot of new faces on especially the girls cross-country team but they're still kind of had the people waiting in the background to have their turn as well. [1:17:07] They went yesterday to the James Smith invitation in Midlothian, three team titles and a runner-up finish. The varsity girls, varsity boys and JV girls each won their divisions and the JV boys finished second. [1:17:19] Also came away with three individual champions. Hall and Gladschuk led the varsity girls in first place. [1:17:25] Gianna Cannelli took the individual title and JV girls and Andrew Walsh crossed the finish line first for the JV boys. [1:17:32] The varsity girls really just made a statement. All stayed at the front of the race sweeping the top four spots. [1:17:38] Again, Hall and Gladschuk took the win. Austin, Vietrick finished second, Cecilia Frank in third and Isabel Russian fourth. [1:17:45] Then the varsity boys had six runners in the top nine. Noah Lay led the Bearcats in third, followed closely by Thatcher Pettit in fourth and Reed Murray in fifth. [1:17:55] Maddox Murray, Jonah Clary and Brody Bruno finished seventh, eighth and ninth. Again to help them secure the team championship. [1:18:01] Even more impressive possibly is that the team put together the performance without two of the top runners this week and both are expected to be back next week as I had to do it for the Marcus Coach T. Invitational. [1:18:13] The Coach T. Invitational is a very, very big meet, kind of a step up in competition. One of their strongest tests of the season with a pretty deep field. [1:18:21] So it will give the Bearcats and Ladycats cross country teams a good competition and a good look at where they are heading into the to the meat of the season. [1:18:30] The volleyball team on Tuesday had a program sweep of Joshua the varsity 125, 23, 25, 18, 25, 12. Some of the stats from that match. [1:18:40] Kayleigh Berkeley led the team with 14 kills. Brindley Schneider had eight as well as Lily Morris with eight. Layton Lindley had five. Harper Harbuck led the team with 18 assists and Charlotte Gartner had 16. [1:18:54] Harper Harbuck also with three aces and Kayleigh Berkeley with two Carson Diggs leading the team with excuse me, I might as well call her Carson Diggs because that's what she does really well Carson Evans leads the team with 31 Diggs and Harper Harbuck and Clara Devaney each have 13 Diggs and then blocks led by Kennedy Christie and Layton Lindley each with four and also me comes with four Lily Morris with two. [1:19:20] So Ladycats are in the great vinyl callival ISD showcase today and tomorrow I've not seen any of those results yet but we'll make sure and get those to you next week. [1:19:30] So that is all I have for the Alito sports page today. It is 26 North probably 26 Alito zero at half time Bearcats got some work to do come out with the fresh start. [1:19:40] We come back here just a second will get you some scores from around the area from around 6 a and Alito's new 6 a district here on 92.1 Hank FM. [1:19:56] Hi Bearcats nation. [1:30:22] Is a Lido Bear Cat Football on 92.1 and Kevm. Kevm Long was back here in the broadcast booth at Crowley [1:30:32] ISD multi-purpose stadium here at its halftime where North Crowley leads a Lido Biosquare 26-0. [1:30:38] Just a couple of recruiting notes to let you know about it. We kind of mentioned these during the [1:30:42] broadcast but the Bear Cats have four division one commits at this point. Why receiver Kingston Parks [1:30:48] has committed to Boise State. He was actually committed to the University of Utah. Of course, [1:30:54] money parks is older brother is there but he switched and he's going to go to Boise State and [1:31:01] play on that blue field up there. Time and makes his recruiting very solid throughout the course [1:31:07] of his couple of years since he's been in Lido. He has committed to Oregon State. That happened [1:31:12] earlier this summer. Amori Dinbu, the offensive tackle, converted defensive tackle now. He has [1:31:19] committed to incarnate word down in San Antonio and I still think there's going to be some schools [1:31:23] that probably will go after him out of maybe like the Mountain West or something like that. We'll see [1:31:27] how that plays out. And then finally, just to let you know the fourth commit for the Bear Cats [1:31:36] is going to be excuse me. The fourth commitment for the Bear Cats is going to be, [1:31:45] I just had it here a second ago, but those are the three that I have for you at this point. So [1:31:50] anyway, those are the commitments for the Bear Cats at this point. One thing I will say this about [1:31:56] Trey Williams, the starting quarterback for the Bear Cats. He does have several division one [1:32:00] offers UNOB of being among those. He has a couple of other schools in that area that are [1:32:05] pursuing him as well. So we'll see how Trey's recruiting process will play out. So that's a little [1:32:12] bit of the recruiting notes. Four years far as Alito was concerned. We'll take a time out. We'll [1:32:16] take a look at the stats. We will keep it here. So let's give you the half time stats and they are [1:32:20] brought to you by Fort Worth Stockyard's Heritage Club. And so here's the way the numbers look [1:32:26] so far. Alito was six first downs North Crowley with nine. The Bear Cats with negative [1:32:32] 30 yards rushing. So that's been a problem all night. And it started from the opening [1:32:36] rushing play of this of the season. North Crowley with only 73. So the Bear Cats defense has been [1:32:41] pretty solid stopping the run. The running attack, the average yards per carry with the Bear Cats [1:32:46] are actually in the minus territory on that. 1.8 yards per attempt. North Crowley only 3.6 yards per [1:32:53] attempt. Passing the ball for the Bear Cats 98 total and then 181 yards total for North Crowley. [1:33:00] And a couple of big ones that contribute to what is that 110 yards if you want. Total yards [1:33:07] for in this game Alito was 68 North Crowley with 254. The Bear Cats have turned it over twice. [1:33:13] They have lost one fumble. And of course the interception for Trey Williams earlier. No turnovers [1:33:18] for North Crowley. Now just to let you know as far as the third down conversions, the Bear Cats are [1:33:25] 3 out of 10. Their average need is 11. North Crowley is 2 out of 4. Their average need is actually 12, [1:33:31] which is actually worse than Alito. But they had a couple of penalties that played into that need [1:33:36] being a little bit longer. North Crowley has not needed to attempt to fourth down play. Alito did [1:33:41] and did get it on an eight yard play. Alito has punted at three times for an average of 39 yards. [1:33:47] North Crowley twice for 22 yards. Bear Cats have been penalized four times for 20 yards. North [1:33:52] Crowley 8 for 69. Time of possession in the Bear Cats favor. That is 17 minutes and 16 seconds. [1:34:00] They have actually nearly 3 to 1 over North Crowley, which has only had it for six minutes and [1:34:05] 44 seconds. If we were playing with time of possession, the Bear Cats would be well on their way. [1:34:10] But again, it's about the big plays. And here's why. We'll start with the Bear Cats on [1:34:14] offense. Trey Williams, two carries for minus 20 yards. And those are sacks. Jeremiah Johnson, 10 carries. [1:34:20] He has lost three yards. Is he Roberts has four carries. He has lost seven yards. So again, [1:34:25] the Bear Cats and the negative category with the Russian attack. Trey Williams is tonight. He [1:34:32] has seven out of 12 for 98 yards. He has thrown an interception. That was a pick six. Jeremiah [1:34:37] Johnson does have a catch for three yards. Maddox, nurse one catch for 15 yards. Colby Thompson, [1:34:42] one for 20. Kane, linear one for three. Caden Palmquist, two for 18. And is he Roberts, one for 39? [1:34:49] Now offensively for North Crowley, Jacob Torres, four carries for 36 yards. Ingram, four for 19. [1:34:57] And this has been the really thing about. [1:35:00] The Aledo's defensive front, they have not allowed these two special backs who each Kyle Hix had over a thousand yards last year, Kionte Ingram and Rell Smith. Four carries for 19 yards for Ingram, five carries for 18 yards so Smith. So they've taken the running game away from North Crowley with the exception of Abya Scramble here and there by Torres. [1:35:30] Very dim, but done a really good job of being physical at the point of attack and really kind of limiting how effective they're running between the tackles is with defense. The issues really been on the back end with the explosive plays and they're going to have to find a way to fix that to keep this one from getting thoroughly out of here. [1:35:48] All right, Mercedes has Robbie Jones this halftime interview with the Aledo head coaches brought to you by Jack Metals. Go ahead, Mercedes. [1:35:54] How did you get out exactly what you wanted to see in the first half? Do you tell them let's learn from it and just move on? [1:35:58] Yeah, I mean, we need to flip the script on them here on the second half. We need to have a better second half. We need to go out and do a better job of executing on offense, which is one of the things that's been our problem. [1:36:10] We'll have a bust up front, then we'll have a bust in the routes and just different things are killing us offensively. We'll get something going and then have a bad play. [1:36:22] So we just got to be a little more consistent and take care of the little things and get things going our way. [1:36:28] Do you do anything to keep them up? Are they still motivated to keep going? Yeah, we talked to them. We said, hey, look, we can come out here. We can make a game out of this or we can just quit. [1:36:37] You know, that's not the lead-o-way. We don't quit. So we had a pretty good talk in there at halftime and hopefully they come out and respond. [1:36:45] All right, thank you. [1:36:46] Thanks Mercedes. Again, that visit with Robbie Jones brought to you by Jack Metals, LLC, continuing with the halftime stats and they're brought to you again by Fort Worth Stockyard's Heritage Club. [1:36:55] Taurus through the air, 10 out of 15 for 181 yards, three touchdowns. Damarian Mays, that special wide receiver. He has six catches for 82 yards. [1:37:05] Kate Smith has two catches for 77 yards. Each has a touchdown grab. Price Demerson has one catch no yards. Kate Smith, the third wide receiver in this great formation has one catch for 12 yards and that was a touchdown. [1:37:19] And here's where this is because in terms of the big plays, we just talked about the touchdowns. Mays has a 55 yard touchdown pass. And remember, that started, that gave North Krali a six-nothing lead. But remember, that started when Alito punted and the special teams unit was unable to corral the football inside the five yard line. It went for a touchdown back. [1:37:41] Flip of the field position there, change the perspective there. And of course, the 55 yard touchdown pass to Mays. [1:37:48] And though it was huge, it was 20 yards worth of field position right there. You had a chance to really get them backed up to the goal line. And to that point, your defense of line really been dominated up front and being able to get pressure in the backfield. [1:37:59] So who knows what could have happened. But you know, the ball goes in the end zone and a few plays later, they throw the big touchdown to really get things going for their offense. [1:38:06] And the other cats were trying to respond on the ensuing possession. They were starting to move it and they got the benefit of a couple of first downs. Unfortunately, there was a tip-trial interception by Braille and Cunningham that went for 74 yards. It looked like it was a busted tunnel screen where he was able to tip it to himself. And then once he got to about the 40 yard line in North Krali territory. [1:38:26] There were no wide jerseys around him. And so he went the distance on the 74 yard pick six. That made it 13 to nothing. Those were the two scores in the third quarter. Then it became 20 to nothing as a 10 play drive for the Panthers covered 53 yards. [1:38:42] And it finished on that 12 yard pass where a great block downfield by May's set up Kate Smith to score. That was on a third down play. And that made it 20 to nothing with the extra point. And then right before the end of the first half, a 65 yard touchdown pass from Torres to Kate Smith again covering 65 yards. And that made it 26 to nothing. The extra point was blocked. [1:39:01] And so here come the bear cats to take the field. And here comes North Krali. We'll take a one minute time out here. Bring you the second half here. Alito and North Krali coming up your way next. [1:39:10] You're listening to Alito bear cats football on 92.1 Hank FM measure twice impress for years. That's the Davidson construction way. [1:40:25] Hank FM about to start the third quarter here in southern Terran County. This is a beautiful stadium here. Krali ISD multi purpose stadium. The third trip for the bear cats in this building. Obviously not going their way down 26 to nothing, but they will get the ball to start the second half in this miser ortho donics. [1:40:44] Pooch Kitch is returned. Actually, I think it was fair caught. And so running up the field of it and not being allowed to run up the field of it for the bear cats was Jordan Hall. [1:40:54] And so the bear cats will start at I think around their 23 yard line when they did the fair catch there. So that's how we begin this third quarter. And so and again, this is this is about digging in and saying this is, you know, you it's a kind of a fighter flight kind of thing. [1:41:11] You either fight and make something out of this game. Maybe you get some breaks to go your way and you make this a ball game. But the thing is, you got to play to make sure that you keep your edge because you still have nine games left in this regular season. And you also have a district championship to pursue this game as a theory does not mean anything to you, but it obviously is a. [1:41:31] It's kind of a referendum on what you need to be moving forward technically it doesn't it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it does matter in terms of you know are you going to keep competing are you going to you know continue to get better you're going to come out of the second half and do the little things that you were not doing in the first half. [1:41:46] Get them corrected and start doing a better job in certain areas. And if you can continue to improve, give you something to carry on carry with you going into the next week. [1:41:55] All right, first intent at the 23 yard line, the running play on the first attempt for the bear cats on first down is by I think Jeremiah Johnson and he gets a yard to the. [1:42:05] Got the 20 got to the 25 yard on so maybe it's a two yard play on that the starting center Noah leak is laying on the field as he looked like he got crumpled up there and he's laying on his back and so Troy little in his training staff would take a look at the Alito starting center and if you're wondering the backup center is tenor beaver. [1:42:24] No relation to Justin Bieber as I can recall, but the tenor is this senior 511 to 20, but I would think now the question is going to be is you know would Robbie shift the offensive line around even though Tanner is technically. [1:42:37] And so looks like he's okay he's able to get up and walk off under his own power and to the sidelines of Mercedes you were just telling us in your ear about maybe they weather conditions and how humid in the cramping and that sort of thing. [1:42:50] And so it looks like a cramp from the way they were stretching him and he's he's kind of hobbling off a little bit but just in that way that you do when you have a cramp guys it is very hot and very still down here and so it is it it's pretty hot. [1:43:03] Now the flags that were going a little bit are totally live Williams under pressure on second down and he's dragged out for the third sack of him tonight he had nowhere to go as he lost nine yards back to the 15 yard line. [1:43:17] He really really had no chance there Williams Ed we have three guys in his face looks like he's coming out of the game he might be banged up there I mean he took a pretty good shot there going to the turf. [1:43:27] You know just didn't have a chance on that one is it's you know it's tough to get back there trying to find some downfield when you got that many guys in your face yeah it's just been tough not for the bear cuts offense. [1:43:36] He's been off and so he's being attended to on the sideline so this third downplay is going to be run by Eli Pinnick who is a six one one eighty five pound junior he's a moving from Crowley and there is an injured panther on the field that's actually senior cornerback Jerry outhouse the UCLA commit and he [1:43:55] looks like a left he's not putting any weight on his left ankle there hard to speculate if it's an ankle or an e but his injury occurred well away from the sack. [1:44:06] And we also had a I think we do we have a marker there that they dropped at the 42 yard line or is that just a streamer we had a lunches streamers from the halftime reports here but I don't think that's a flag. [1:44:20] Actually we do have a flag. All right so we have a so we have a personal file on TJ boy the backup linebacker that might have happened on the sack I mean the flag was thrown so it was either thrown so quickly and picked in it was an uncessary unnecessary roughness but I don't really know though if that was actually on the sack or away from it because it happened so fast but it does result and a bull goose construction first down Eli Pinnick is the quarterback. [1:44:52] With tray Williams out and the bear cats left tackle lifts up unfortunately and it'll be now a five. [1:45:00] The first in 10 at their 30, they will now start first in 10 at their 25 yard line. And Mercedes will try and find out what happened with Tre Williams, Aledo starting quarterback and let us know him. And so no a league by the way, the starting center who is also out who is getting stretched out because he left earlier because of a cramp just a few moments ago. [1:45:30] He's fake and he gets to the 30 yard line. He has a good job of reading the defense, watching the end crash down to the running back and pulling it out late on the zone, read there and getting something going for the offense. You know, your second and 10 now, it's just been, you know, the theme of the evening has been, you know, one step forward, two steps back. Thankfully, that's time they get a second down on much more manageable than they've been used to. Five yards on the run by Pinnick, who remains as the starting quarterback. He'll keep it again. [1:46:00] He tries to avoid two blue defenders. He did that zone read. They're doing a lot of zone read here with Pinnick as he was keeping. He might have held it a little bit too long for Johnson there. And then he got bottled up for about a two yard loss. So it's now third and 12 coming up. Yeah, and so far we hadn't seen him try to attempt to pass. It's been two zone reads that he's elected to keep it both times, but that time with Crowley, you know, played it much better, much better that time had three or four guys just waiting there on him on the run and when able to get anything going. Now it's third. [1:46:30] And once again, a third and 10 plus third and 12 here for the bear cats at their 28 yard line opening two minutes of the third quarter 26, nothing North Crowley leads. Pinnick will roll the pocket of the right. He will throw the pass is going to be caught. And then they will call it a catch. Nice grab as he was cradling it in by Canel and here across the 40 to the 41 yard line. It's a pick up of 13 yards. And that is a bull goose construction first down on the bear cats. Convert on a third and long. They do like to make it difficult on themselves with all these [1:47:00] third and long. Don't they? Yeah, it was a good job. That time getting to the edge there and finding Kane linear for the open first down there. Pinnick, you know, he's got a little better speed than what we've seen so far to nine. He's able to use that to get himself a little space out in the outside. [1:47:14] Tight end is to the right. It is going to be a zone keeper and a read by Pinnick as he gets maybe three yards to the 22 or 42, maybe the 43 are lying. But you can see how the offense has changed here between Williams. [1:47:29] And Pinnick here because it's more of a dropback situation with Williams as we said, he's more of a guy who will float around in the pocket. Pinnick, from what we told, kind of more athletic will run a little bit more. [1:47:41] So we're getting that here two different packages for two different quarterbacks. So it's now second down and call it a long eight short nine at about the 42. Pinnick will throw and it's too wide and low. [1:47:53] That was intended for Maddox nurse at the 45 yard line, but that ball bounced at the 43. And so it'll bring up third down and let's all say it together long way to go for the pair. [1:48:03] And miss miss pretty badly on that one there. They had nurse it a little bit of a separation on the outside there, but we're able to connect on that one. [1:48:11] So now you're looking at third and nine hearing really need to find a way to stay on the field in this situation. [1:48:21] And then again, a long eight short nine for the bear cats, they have to get to the North Crowley 49 yarlling with the ball just across the 42. Pinnick to throw quick drop throws passes caught and getting that first and across midfield in the into North Crowley territory is [1:48:36] that Caden Palmquist, there is a penalty marker that was dropped in the backfield in a lead oh side of the field will see if there will be extra yardage tacked onto it because a lead oh's acting like it the penalty once went against North Crowley. [1:48:49] We'll see what Bernard Gray are referees says here. [1:48:56] Leonidas Keith is actually the new center for the bear cats and they do call a roughing the passer penalty against North Crowley. [1:49:06] So tack on 15 yards of two bull goose concrete finishing in epoxy first downs for the bear cats here as they now have a first and 10 at the 31 yard line. [1:49:17] Alito got the ball to start the third quarter and they've kept it ever since here as we near the nine minute mark. [1:49:23] Pinnick to throw pressures on passes tipped and it falls harmlessly to the field to the ground and think goodness it did because there were three black jerseys closing in on Pinnick and when he threw it got tipped but the linebackers were dropping back and it fell harmlessly to the ground. [1:49:38] Dan Cooper Elms picked that up and act like he was going to try to run with it which I definitely would not recommend that. [1:49:44] Would you have done that? [1:49:46] No one one thing in that position typically you're lacking a speed. [1:49:50] Oh come on now don't short change yourself you had a little bit going on second and ten for the bear cats here again we'll try and get an update on trade Williams again. [1:50:00] Harding Center, Noah Leake, they're working on a cramp on him, Aledo starting center who's out of the game. It'll be Pinnock on a keeper, he gets bottled up that play looked like that was broken from the moment it was snapped and he loses three yards back to the 34 yard line. So now the Bearcats are going to be facing third and long again. I thought you were going to join me with again on that. But anyway, third down, they're actually going to move it back to the 35 yard line. So now this brings up third down in 14 with eight and a half minutes to go here. And with the eight of a couple of North Crowley penalties and a couple of things [1:50:30] shown by Eli Pinnock, this drive has shown a couple of things, but of course the Bearcats would like to convert and keep things going here. So third down in 14 at the 35 yard line ball in the middle of the field, two receivers either side, Maddox Nurse is on the inside near the North Crowley bench. Pinnock under pressure, he breaks the tackle, is able to get away from one, gets hit high at the 30 yard line, gets flattened and he loses his helmet. And he's going to come off the field, but Tre Williams is able to come back on the [1:51:01] field. So whatever ding that tray got, he's able to return. So Eli Pinnock gets a nice hand from the Alito fans quickly to the sideline in Mercedes. Guys, Tre was kind of standing there waiting to go in for his turn. Pretty much the entire time he was out. So he went and sound the bitch for just a second, talked to one of the trainers for a minute. Never really was evaluated in any way. And then was standing there ready to go. All right, thanks Mercedes. Appreciate that sideline report. The Bearcats have converted. They're only forked down a temp. They need nine here on this fourth down play Williams to throw the ball. [1:51:31] So over the middle and it's too high for Maddox, nurse at the 20 yard line. He had him, but he overshot him. And so the Bearcats will turn it over on downs just a little bit too high, but he had Maddox for a first and he had some room to run if he had made the cat. Yeah, that's a big mess there. They had a, you know, I had a chance. They really for nurse almost likely could have gotten to the end zone. They connected there. It'll turn a room out in front of them. Balls is too high there. They weren't able to connect and then they turn the ball. This is turn the ball over back to North Crowley. So for the good drive though. I mean, they're able to get some things going there. [1:52:01] They're not on offense. So we hadn't seen in the first half, but unfortunately, this weren't able to finish it. All right. So North Crowley will take over at first and 10 at its 30 yard line here was 742 to play here in the third quarter. The Panthers lead the Bearcats by score of 26 to nothing. And this the ninth meeting between these two programs. A little leads five to three. Jacob Torres who had a big first half 10 out of 15 for 181 yards and two big touchdown passes. [1:52:31] He's under pressure now. We'll take off and run breaks on tackle now to throw and it's behind Kate Smith at about the midfield stripe. That was a broken plane. He was trying to make something out of nothing here. And I don't think Kate Smith saw it. And Blaine Fisher was there who got a hand on it was able to knock away. But I don't think that play was ever going to really go anywhere. No, it was a good idea. But Torres there. He actually, you know, he was, he looked like he was almost at the line of scrimmage there. And if his receiver were to turn around there to had something there. But fortunately for the Bearcats didn't see it and he's [1:53:01] second and 10. So on this second and 10 play, the running play goes to Kionte Ingram and he goes nowhere. That Alito defensive front led by O'Mari Dinboo says no, sir. And there is no gain on that. And so that is probably one of the takeaways that you can come at least at this point is how the defensive front has really done a great job on the North Crowley running game. Again, last year Smith rushed for just a thousand and one yards 21 touchdowns. Ingram was over 1,600 yards. [1:53:31] 22 scores. And this is a team that got to the state quarterfinals last year. On this third down and 10, Torres under pressure. Now we'll take off. Hesse running room wants to throw does and the pass is going to be incomplete. It was at the feet of Price Demorson. And now we got a fight taking place behind the line of scrimmage here. And one Alito player was thrown to the field. All sorts of yellow flags are being thrown. [1:54:00] The number what they're saying here, Mercedes, let's go to you on the side on and tell us what you saw. Guys, I don't know the names with the numbers. I'll fill it in. Thank you. Number two, North Crowley made up. That's my first hit. Yeah, made the first hit. And then yes, then they're getting they're getting up to walk off the play and another North probably play. I couldn't tell which player it was. Maybe 52 or 50 came up and took out. Might have been King Irvin the left tackle there. And then they [1:54:37] had to get on the right tackle. We're there. Yes. And so you've got all the official. You've got three flags on the ground. You got both head coaches in the middle of the field. And you got officials separating guys from each other. And Ashton Hebel was the one that made the hit the first hit. And he put a pretty good hit on quarterback. He did. And then it caused everybody else to stand up and. [1:54:57] And Torres took a pretty good shot after you threw that through that ball. You're complete to price Demerson. And around the midfield stripe. And that's probably you know, that's kind of a teammate thing defending your quarterback. You took a pretty good hit. And so but then it got a little bit out of hand there with the fist of cuffs and one of the. [1:55:13] I don't know that any of the players took any shots at anybody other than the hit during the play. But definitely a couple of guys from North Krali taken some shots and then kind of bowing up now Bernard Gray the referee from the 4th or a chapter is going to go over and talk to the mark is Harris. One of the officials has gone over to talk to Robbie Jones. We'll see if this is going to be offsetting or what the result of this will be. This was a long discussion between these officials here. [1:55:43] But they're going to mark this ball back. It looks like they're going to say you did it first on North Krali because they're marching the Panthers back 15 yards back to the 15 yard line. And they might do it multiple because they're going to do a second walk. The umpire who is Eric court. [1:55:58] He's going to move it back to the 7 1 1 2 half yard line. So this could be. So this appears to be multiple dead ball personal fouls against North Krali. Yeah, because they didn't call it foul on the defensive play. [1:56:09] They said the hit on able was a clean hit on Torres. He hit him right after you release the ball so they didn't call a penalty there. Right. [1:56:16] All penalties came after the play and from what it looks like. Alita didn't get called for any extra curricular activities North Krali did which is why the ball is being moved so far back in this spot. [1:56:27] Okay, so this is going to be about 23 22 and a half yards worth of penalties. [1:56:39] He's off. Also, on sports, but like conduct number 54. [1:56:57] All right. So if you could hear that from referee Bernard Gray, both these personal foul on sports and like conduct penalties when against sophomore [1:57:06] right guard chase Wilkins, he was summarily is corrected. He was subsequently ejected from this ball game. That means he's going to have to be replaced when you get multiple unsports of like conduct penalties. [1:57:19] You are disqualified. It's essentially 22 yards worth of penalties against North Krali. So instead of having fourth and 10 at their 30, they now have fourth and what is at 32 at their eight yard line. [1:57:32] So that means the punner, Thailand turtine will be punning about seven yards deep in his end zone. [1:57:39] And that means Cooper Hall who remember took that shot right at the beginning of the second half will begin. [1:57:46] We'll stand right around the 38 yard line at North Krali territory. So the bear cats have a lot of things working in their favor here. [1:57:53] A chance to start an excellent field position. Pun is away high end over and and Hall will catch it on the fly gets on inside the 30. [1:58:03] And he'll be pushed out of bounds toward the Alito sideline at about the 27 yard line. The pun covers 28 yards and a nine yard return. [1:58:10] So this is prime for the Alito offense right here. That's going to happen. Now is the chance. Yeah. If there's ever a chance for this offense to really take some because Alito, let's face it here in the second half, the bear cats have been the better team. [1:58:25] Now some could say well North Krali did they kind of let the foot off the gas because they have a four score lead. You never know, but the thing is if you're a coaching staff for North Krali, we have 48 minutes. [1:58:35] We got to keep playing for all 48 regardless of what the scoreboard says. Bear cats are playing. They have a first and 10 officially at the North Krali 29 yard line 641 to play here in the third quarter. [1:58:45] The give is to Jeremiah Johnson. There's nowhere to room once again, but he's able to drag a couple of tacklers with them and he gets one, maybe two out of this carry, but they let the play run. [1:58:57] And now we got a stoppage of time because we have a couple players that are slow getting up for the bear cats on one side. You have Leonidas Keith. [1:59:10] And for the Panthers. [1:59:13] Titan Bonner, their linebacker, he's on the field. He's probably got a cramp issue that he's dealing with right now. And as Mercedes said, there's no airflow in this state. And this stadium is dug into the earth. [1:59:25] And so, and with no wind and on a hot night, that's about 92 degrees with the relative humidity in the 40s and the dew point not helping things. It's going to be kind of tough to finish this game and we're going to probably have a few more cramping issues before this night is over. [1:59:40] They officially give Jeremiah Johnson one yard on that as the ball was spotted about a foot. [1:59:47] That was a tough one, that was a tough one and a half feet that he got on that. [1:59:51] But officially one yard. So it's second and nine at the 28 Williams of the shotgun three receivers to the far side. He will look to the right blitzes on pressure. [2:00:00] He's going to go down at the 40. He had no chance. They brought the blitz on the, and once again coming in with it was Jordan Herrigan, the back up line backer. We just mentioned that bonner went out with a bit of a cramping issue, but his back up. Jordan Herrigan picked up right where the defense left off. There is a flag in the end, and I'm not sure if what that is. There's a discussion about this, but that is the fourth sack against Tre Williams. [2:00:30] This one losing to all these losses have been big in terms of what he's lost yardage on. That's contributing to the negative yardage in Aledo's Russian average being so poor tonight. Long discussion here between the officiating crew and to Marcus Harris, the head coach as the referee Bernard Gray. We've been saying his name way too much here tonight, but he's having a discussion with Harris. Again, the flag was dropped in the end zone. So, all right. So both penalties against the bearcats on a [2:01:14] face mask and an illegal man downfield. And so North Crowley took the play because it was the sack. And so it makes it now third down in 17 for the bearcats, officially a loss of eight on that sack. So third down and long once again for the bearcats at the 36 yard line. Williams looks to throw under pressure. We'll take off to the left and we'll get a short pickup back to about the 34 yard line. Nobody opened down field against that tough secondary. And he only got two, maybe three yards. [2:01:44] And so it'll bring up fourth down and call it 15 for the bearcats as they are at call it 14 and a half at about the 33 yard line. They have to get to the 19 yard line. And so this possession, which looked opportune at the 29 yard line about to go about to go by by here. If they don't hit on this fourth down in long. Yeah, and it's been it's tough for Williams right now because they're bringing pressure every single play as soon as he sees it. You know, he's his eyes are going down. He's trying to find somewhere to scramble. It's just really throwing off. [2:02:14] His ability to find somebody downfield to pass. He will throw on four down and it's down the far side of the field and it's incomplete. He just had to get rid of that thing. And he did it was Palm Quest was the intended receiver, but he was double covered and it was well overthrown. And so the bearcats will turn it over on downs once again with 506 to play in the third quarter North Crowley's defense holds once again as the little threatens, but his turn to side. Yeah, I mean, like you said, it started off that possession started off and about as good a field position. You could have asked [2:02:44] for it. It did just nothing but went backwards. Unfortunately, you know, on offense, they're going to have to find, you know, they seem like they had a little rhythm when they're starting to zone reads in the previous drive and able to get something going, but that that possession there just they just weren't able to get anything going offensively. Jacob Torres has returned at quarterback four North Crowley. So he's okay after the hit that he took right at the end of that possession. He will throw on first down in the past is knocked away at the line of scrimmage. Looks like time and mix got a hand on that. That's the second time. [2:03:14] The bearcaps defensive front has batted a ball away back form was actually the first one to do it on the first offensive play the game. So second down in 10 at the 34 Kevin Lawnquist and Kyle Hicks here in the broadcast booth Mercedes Meyer on the sidelines and the decon has all of our stats. Aiden Posey is our onsite producer engineer Jake Summers is back at the Sundance Square Studios in downtown Fort Worth on the second down running play. It'll go to Rell Smith. He picks up two yards to the 36. [2:03:44] So that brings up third down and eight no scoring in this quarter again three of the four plays for North Crowley in this game from a defensive and offensive standpoint have covered at least 55 yards. So the big play really hurting the bear cats tonight. Third down at eight bear cats bring a blitz. Torres takes off it throws it down the sideline. He's looking for maze and he's going to be overthrown on the North Crowley sideline. [2:04:14] Torres was running away. He had two defenders bearing down on him and he threw across his body from as he was going toward the elitos sideline near the far hash and through a toward the sideline. Of course take a shot with a guy like, hey, maze who six two six three rather. Yeah, it was really good coverage there. But as a good job. I know and Baker and staying in the coverage. You know, the quarterbacks rolled out the scrambled out to the opposite side of the field. A lot of times the coverage would break down. He was in the right spies able to continue running with maze and prevent that from what could have been a huge gain. [2:04:44] So the bear cats defense holds gets the three and out punting situation once again as church turn time is the punter. But we got a flag before the snap is delivered here as Cooper hole. We'll hand it back to the officiating crew. We'll get the call here in just a few months. It is a fall start. So that means North Crowley will be backed up another five. Some things that you can take on it. But I will say this. I mean the biggest things that Alito is going to take from this game is how physical this defensive [2:05:16] front for North Crowley is. And now what when what Alito is going to have to do with their offensive line moving forward here and understand, you know, they'll get better. They'll learn from this for sure. Adjustance here schemes things like that. But sometimes when you have a really good defensive line, sometimes you just have to deal with it better pun here by turn time. [2:05:35] And then the whole physical signal for the fair catch and he makes it at the 30 yard line to 39 year punts best of the night by turn time. But again, this offensive line just has to learn. [2:05:44] You know, it's probably to be the best defensive front they see all year. Well, and you know, you're bringing back one one starter from last year. So it's virtually it's an entirely new offense more or less. You know, you had Jeremiah Johnson returned. Other than that, though, there wasn't a ton of production coming back. So you know, for this be your first game against just an outstanding defense. [2:06:03] I think that I saw some it said seven of the 11 starters on North Crowley's defense have division one offers. I mean, they're really really good. [2:06:11] So, you know, you get it. You're an inspector to be some growing pains in a game like this. But you know, you just want to see improvement consistent improvements. What you got to hope for in games like this and just find things you can learn from three seniors. [2:06:22] One sophomore on this front and the first pass is caught by Kane linear from Tray Williams down the silent gets across the 45 across the 50 yard line. [2:06:31] And that's a pick up of about actually the spot amount of the 47 yard line to pick up of 17 yards. And that is a bull goose construction first down the barcats. [2:06:40] Move the chains after that 17 yard completion. [2:06:44] Kane linear comes up with his second grab of the night. It was a really good job by Kane linear is, you know, the body control to stay in bounds there. I mean, he was he was motioning. He was running towards the side on when he caught the he's able to put the brakes on and get up filled and really extend that play for the first down. [2:06:59] So first and 10 for the barcats at their 47 yard line. Williams to throw has a little bit of time. Now the pocket breaks down. He'll have to take off and run with it. [2:07:07] And he's not going to get anywhere. He's going to lose seven yards as Brock Lacey, the outside linebacker, chases him and throws him down back at the 40 yard line. And we said he's not a runner. And so that's just going to happen. [2:07:19] And when you have that kind of speed charging at you, there's not a lot you can do here. [2:07:23] Well, you got to have an internal clock in your head. You know they're coming after you. So at some point, you just got to get rid of the ball because these massive losses are just killing the offense. [2:07:31] Like if there's nobody there and you know, you got to get rid of it at that point because you're not going to be able to run these guys. [2:07:37] And you know, these these sacks for you know, 10 10 yards at a time just just kill the offense because you get so far behind the chains. [2:07:44] Yeah, it's almost impossible to recover. [2:07:46] Five sacks, which have totaled 48 yards. This one loses seven. [2:07:52] And we have the clock running out. And so in Alito's going to get hit with the delay of game penalty. [2:07:58] And so they're going to move back five more yards. So after the 17 yards that they gained on first down, they've just given back 12 following the second and the five yard walkoff on the penalty. [2:08:10] So now second and 17 becomes second and 22 at the 35 yard line here with three minutes and 10 seconds in the clock running here in Crowley. [2:08:20] North Crowley leads Alito by a score of 26 to nothing. [2:08:25] Williams will work out of the shotgun once again. Izzy Roberts is the running back who stands now shifts to his right. [2:08:31] True receivers to the far side. A little play action rolled with the right for Williams who dumps it off past his cot. [2:08:36] Palm Quest will make the catch and he's dumped immediately. [2:08:40] As Braille and Cunningham, the cornerback cornerback comes up and makes the hit after a pick up of about two yards. [2:08:46] So it will bring up third down and 20 on that. [2:08:50] I think they were hoping for that isolated matchup that Palm Quest was going to be able to get away and have a little bit more room to run, but the closing speed by Cunningham. [2:08:58] Shut that play down pretty quickly. So third down and long once again for the bear cats and they have to get to the North Crowley 43 yard line here with the clock running it. [2:09:11] The clock running at 225 and counting here in this third quarter trips to the near side one of the far side. [2:09:18] Williams to throw being chased once again under pressure getting sacked and this Alito offensive line is getting absolutely mulled by this North Crowley defensive front sixth sack by this North Crowley defense. [2:09:32] The second of this possession and the bear cats are going to have to put it back after that loss of 12 all the way back to the 25 yard line. [2:09:39] I mean, I mean, very Williams has no chance. He just immediately with the ball snapped there on top of him. He doesn't have time to go through his reads. [2:09:47] You know, virtually he's having start dodging people almost immediately. So this is going to be a tough film session tomorrow for the bear cats offensive line. [2:09:53] They're just going to have to sit through there and learn from it and find ways to get better because they're not going to be. [2:10:00] You're able to play and compete if your quarterback doesn't have time to throw the ball. Blake could, it gets the pun away. I thought it might have hit Maddox. Nursew is one of the gunners running down the field. The ball is finally... [2:10:31] I'm happy that you're with us here. On the Bearcats 2020, 26 season open here. Their first game as a classic, a school. Not the result that they're looking for, but again, a lot to take in when you are making this big jump. [2:10:45] So first in 10 at the 43 R-line for the Panthers as Taurus will work with a single receiver to the right side. He will drop back. Now he's under pressure. He gets hit. The ball is out. I think that was a fumble. [2:10:59] One of the North Crowley players did pick it up and looked like it was picked up by North Crowley's Jeremy Cooper, the tight end, who was Johnny on the spot. [2:11:12] He was able to take it up, filled for a couple of yards after Taurus got hit. The loss still covers three yards or two yards right back to the 41-yard line. [2:11:25] So it's technically a sack but a fumble, but North Crowley is able to recover the fumble. Hayden Green will come on in and play wide receiver. We got another penalty marker that's thrown right between the two offensive lineman. [2:11:43] I thought they looked at the official grab the ball from the center. It might have been an issue where it's an illegal snap. Good eyes there by both Mercedes and Kyle on the ball being falsely moved. [2:11:58] He can't do that. But it's a five-yard walk off. So it goes back to the 37-yard line. And so it now brings up second down and call it 16. This has kind of turned into a sloppy game here in the second half. North Crowley leads 26 to nothing. [2:12:16] Give is to Ingram over the right side. He gets some of it back for three to the 39-yard line. Max Forman with the tackle for the bear cats. Yeah, I think Kyle, do your point just getting back to the offensive line. Probably will not want to get into early tomorrow morning to discuss what it saw. [2:12:33] I mean, because it's been bad, I think they can they'll be able to tell you the same thing. It's not good. But it's first game of the year and they got plenty of time to improve, learn from this. [2:12:43] You just got to the offense can't work if you don't have time to execute what you're trying to do. So they got a long way to go, but thankfully they got the coaching and the ability to get better and they will progress as the season goes on. [2:12:55] And we have come to the end of the third quarter. North Crowley will have a third and 14 that it comes. It will face here and we come back for the fourth and final quarter. [2:13:04] We have the now we have the recruiting minute for us. It will bring that to you and then we'll come back on the other side of the recruiting minute for the fourth quarter. [2:13:11] The bear cats are trailing North Crowley by score of 26 to nothing more after this time out. Now here's your recruiting minute brought to you by rivals on three's Billy M. Body. [2:13:22] This is your Alito bear cats recruiting minute. I'm on three's Billy M. Body with the start of the season here. It's the perfect time to run down the list of bear cats committed to colleges starting this season. [2:13:34] And we begin with the senior class, the class of 2027 wide receiver Kingston parks is committed to Oise State. He's the younger brother of money parks who played at Alito a few years back and is currently at Utah defensive tackle to moan mix committed to Oregon giving [2:13:51] the ducks a big defensive tackle from Texas to head out west defensive tackle. Amori Din Boo is committed to incarnate word and I think this is somebody to watch as a senior sleeper for those big programs out there as others will keep pursuing him as the season goes along and 2028 tight end. [2:14:12] Caden Palmquiz committed to SMU this off season keep it locked on the Alito recruiting minute for all things bear cats. I'm on three's Billy M. Body. [2:14:22] The fourth quarter the platinum collision fourth quarter we got a tunnel screen thrown to Rell Smith. He takes it up the field across the 45 to about the 46 year line max form and with the ankle tackle there to slow Smith down they officially give him the 45 year line. [2:14:40] So seven year pick up on that and so forth down coming up for North Crowley as you can kind of tell their offensive approach here for the panthers is they're not going to be they're kind of just keeping everything pretty much conservative here with the game being what it is. [2:14:54] Yeah, they're heading taking a lot of shots down the field which has really been their kind of bread and butter. It's an oxalita is actually done a pretty good job limiting how effective they are on the run but you know they they've really kind of gone and really conservative mode here in the second half. [2:15:06] Cooper Hall returns the pump breaks the tackle of the 22 yard on but he won't break a second tackle at the 22 yard line as North Crowley's. [2:15:14] David and love makes the hit good coverage there by the downfield team for North Crowley the punt covering 33 yards. [2:15:25] That is the traditional punting the average in high school footballs 30. [2:15:29] If I could tell you the number of times I've written 33 or called 33 yards on a punt so first and 10 for the barricades at their 22 yard line opening moments of this fourth quarter. [2:15:44] Trey Williams back in a quarter back. [2:15:48] He'll have Jeremiah Johnson off to his left two receivers to the far side one to the near in the shotgun and he will quickly throw the passes tip that the line of scrimmage and incomplete ball was tip that the line of scrimmage by Jordan. [2:16:03] Jordan Herrigan the back up middle line backer. He also had a sack earlier in this and one of the Panther defenders that Zion Miller the safety lost his helmet so he has to leave. [2:16:20] And it looks like North Crowley has substituted it it's entire defensive lines and all all their backups are in that means senior Ivan Ackendale, Jamuery McNeill, DeWon Spikes and Tion Fore. [2:16:35] So the first four are out and this give is to Jeremiah Johnson up the middle he gets about two yards to the 43 to the 24 yard and remember the Deacon always had that paper with us that when the barricades scored they've had the scoring street going for a zillion games. [2:16:57] 328 consecutive games in which they've scored so that streak is in jeopardy tonight. [2:17:03] It is a third down and call it eight for the barricades. [2:17:07] Barricades are five of 15 on third down tonight. [2:17:12] 328. [2:17:14] Williams will try and run this is pinnig actually at quarterback and he will try and take off and run with it on a delayed QB draw and he gets one to the 24 yard line. [2:17:25] And that will bring up fourth down. [2:17:27] Pinnig is now in the game. I think Tray Williams is night is done as he did the first play of this fourth quarter and has now come out and so it looks like this will be Eli pinnig to finish this game for Alito and that will bring on the punt team led by Blake could under 10 minutes to play here in the fourth quarter which I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to run pretty quickly here. [2:17:56] Pun is away and it's end over and bounces inside the 40s picked up on a hop by Braille and cutting him risky move there but he was able to corral it but then he stumbles forward and gets to the 43 yard line. [2:18:09] It's a 35 yard punt and a three yard returns. [2:18:13] He has a pretty risky move there by Alan trying to field that but I guess he thought as save it from bouncing another 10 to 15 yards in the wrong direction there but I could have been chance there for Alito to maybe catch a break and get it all there but. [2:18:25] Take take over just inside the 45 alright and so. [2:18:30] Demarcus Harris will keep his first team offense out there as Jacob Torres will return along with Kianta Ingram the Damarian Mays. [2:18:39] Bunch formation here bear catch showing their five men front with a blue scene linebacker on the outside that's Kaden Weaver. [2:18:47] It'll be a give over the left side trying to break it to the outside is Ingram he does get it outside gets inside Alito territory inside the 45 before he's finally pushed out a bounce they'll see where they market out at about the 37 yard line. [2:19:00] It's a 20 yard pickup and an earth Crowley first down and now they want to work a little quickly here. [2:19:08] Bunch package on the right side it is another gift to Ingram he does break a tackle he does get a couple of yards to the 35 yard line so quick pickup of two yards for him that big run for him was actually his best run of the night. [2:19:21] Yeah they had not a lot of explosive plays in the running game that time the Ingram is able to find some room and really exploit the defense there. [2:19:30] So second and eight. [2:19:32] Torres to throw his got Mays open he makes the grab out of bounds he had it but the pass was a little bit too long. [2:19:41] And he he came down with it is a beautiful grab it was out of bounds well out of bounds when he came down with it so it brings up now a third down and a coming up and I wouldn't I wouldn't be shocked to see him go right back to that play again because the amaze was he was back there just second down off center. [2:19:56] And actually this are down and there's also a penalty penalty mark. [2:20:00] We have a moment, ten seconds to let our station tell you who it is here. You're listening to Aledo Bearcats football. [2:20:35] Weaver got in there and then he got some help from Max Forman. They finally get to Torres tonight. They've been harassing him here and there. But they finally bring him down for the first time tonight. [2:20:47] Weaver gets credit for it. So it's now fourth down coming up. Good job with the Bearcats defense. [2:20:53] Yeah, you got to have credit there to the defensive line and the Tors has been tough back there. He hasn't made it easy on him to get him down. Like several, several times they've had their chances and he's been able to find some daylight and extend plays with that time. They're finally able to get him down and forced to pun. [2:21:08] So punting situation here as turn time will come on and Cooper Hall stands at his 10 yard line. [2:21:18] Clean snap, no rush by the Bearcats and it's an end over and short pun. It's going to take a wobbly bounce and go out of bounds at about the Aledo 20 yard line. [2:21:28] So it's a 22 yard punt. So the Bearcats will start at their 20 yard line with eight minutes and two seconds to play. And again, that consecutive game streak in which they've scored at 328. [2:21:41] That's really what it's all about right now is trying to see if they can keep that streak going. If you're looking for anything to kind of wrap your arms around. [2:21:48] Yeah, I mean, I guess whatever you got to do, it's quite I mean, it's, you know, it's been it's been rough for the offense out there. [2:21:54] Trail Williams going back out there to lead lead the offense, but hopefully, you know, this driving. [2:21:59] They just haven't been able to fund a rhythm all night. They had, you know, one drive where they really consistently were able to move the ball and it still didn't end in points. [2:22:06] And, you know, for the most part has been, you know, as we said, one step forward two steps back whether it's sack or penalty or, you know, it's mostly self inflicted. [2:22:13] And those are just really hard to overcome at the 20 yard line shuffle past the Caden Palmquist and it's incomplete. [2:22:21] A bobbled off his hands. He didn't see it initially. That's the about the fourth time they've tried that play and it's worked only once. [2:22:28] And it's almost been picked off the other three times. Yeah, I can was there just a few moments ago and put that one on the shelf. [2:22:35] And so that brings up second down and 10. Yeah. In fact, that streak of 328 games. [2:22:40] The last time they were shut out was in the playoffs against Dent and Ryan when they lost 17 to nothing in the fourth round back in 2004. [2:22:47] At a golden, dearly departed Texas stadium passes nearly intercepted as it was intended for Maddox, nurse on the outside and boy, that could have been another pick six right there. [2:22:58] Yeah, really should have been. It's just great. I could have had a second. He had a outstanding break on the ball. I just dropped it. I mean, he was in great position. [2:23:05] That ball should not have gone there. And it's just bear cats are fortunate that end up in six more points for the Panthers. [2:23:13] Bear cats are five of 16 on third down in the average need is 950 yards. So at least it just feels like that. It's just been a tough night. The average need is actually 10 close enough. [2:23:25] At the 20 Williams to throw has time fires over the middle of the passes caught. Came linear first down across the 40 to the 45 yard line. [2:23:34] Good looking ball there by tray Williams and a good route there by Kane linear. And that time is a really good job up front for the bear cats. They gave tray Williams a time needed to sit back there and look down the field. That time Kane linear came open on that right seems able to hit him for the big strike there and extend the drive. [2:23:53] There's another bull goose construction first down pass out on the far side to Kane linear is a little bit too high and off his hands. [2:24:01] It'll be second down and 10 coming up. And that was dangerously close to being a lateral there as well. That was going behind linear that ball is supposed to be put out right in front of him so he can catch it in front of him. [2:24:11] It's a forward pass that way if he drops it. It's incomplete that one had to reach back around and footer so more to the left there. [2:24:19] It would have been a live ball for in North Crabley could have recovered ball on the far hash. Caden Palmquist splits out as a wide receiver toward the near side of the field. [2:24:28] This is a running play to Jeremiah Johnson. He has some running room. He gets about eight yards to about the North Crabley 47 yard line. It'll bring up a third down and short. Yeah, the bear cats actually have a third and manageable this time. [2:24:44] And Jeremiah Johnson is now feeling some discomfort. He's lying down on the field. So that means the elite of training staff will come out and take a look at him. [2:24:53] And so the bear cats have really been just been dinged up. They're going to feel this game tomorrow more than anything else. [2:25:01] Just a reminder for you that we'll have the Titan Redemix post game show. We'll have our players of the game. We'll get an interview with Robbie Jones. We'll have a statistical report. We'll have our elders pure water play of the game. [2:25:13] And of course, we'll have following the post game show. It'll be the return of the KTFW high school scoreboard show. Still tending to Jeremiah Johnson. Why don't we take a commercial break? We'll do that here. Just a moment. We'll take a minute break here where the bear cats are trying to convert a third and two at the 47 yard line at North Crabley territory. [2:27:04] Third and two for the bear cats at the 47 yard line with Jeremiah Johnson out the give is to Izzy Roberts over the left side he gets about a yard and a half short of the first down it probably needs about six seven inches. That's how close he is the ball is resting between the 45 and the 46 yard line and the bear cats are going to go for this as we resume play in the fourth quarter. [2:27:28] The bear cats are one out of four and fourth down trying to convert this back to either side give us to Izzy up the middle has the first down and he is twisted down at about the 43 yard line needed about a half a half a yard he got about two and a half on that play he technically gets three it is a bull goose concrete finishing in a proxy first down for the bear cats the keep the drive going there's second fourth down conversion of the night six 20 to play here in the fourth down. [2:27:57] The bear cats trying to score to avoid the shut out with the ball at the North Crowley 43 Williams to throw a little screen Kingston parks with his first grab of the night but he only gets one yard out of it is he's quickly bottled up by a pair of defenders for North Crowley. [2:28:14] One of those for North Crowley was by Neiman Page he's a senior linebacker one of the backups there there's a lot of backups for this North Crowley defense that are in the game now so that's why a little might be having a little bit of success but take what you can get after the frustration chief had for the first. [2:28:34] You'll take whatever you can with this point try to get some you can build off of going forward Williams rolls to the right throws passes cop Maddox nurse makes the great catch and he gets high load and crunch and he falls down to the ground hard and lays on his back it's a pick up a first down it is a bull goose construction first down he's still not getting up with the ball is advanced to the 28 yard line with five thirty seven to play here now he does get up and he's able to shake that up he got he got sandwich yeah I said [2:29:04] high low but it was more of a sandwich there yeah that's a that's a tough spot to be as receiving nosy's going to get hit he did a good job though being tough getting the ball is and absorbing the impact there and hanging on to it's a really good job by a nurse there to to come down with that catch and then get the the bear catch a chance here for his for him tonight nurse is second catch at the 28 yard line the give is to Izzy over the right side with a little room now tries to dart it up field and then he just dives forward for about two yards to the 26 yard line. [2:29:34] He lost the ball there but the official said he was down a force that he did because North Crowley defender did come up with it there. [2:29:41] The bear cats have two turnovers in this ballgame a tray Williams lost fumble and then a pick six by Braille and Cunningham that covered 74 yards he's 10th play this position for the bear cats here at the North Crowley 27 yard line it is a play. [2:30:00] The action throw out to the left pass is caught and then crunched immediately for the Bearcats' [2:30:04] Cadenuss bomb. He gets one yard out of it. He replaced Nursu got crunched on that, play [2:30:10] a couple moments ago. So now another third and long coming up for the Bearcats as they [2:30:15] will have it from the North Crowley 26 with four and a half minutes to play here in our [2:30:20] football game. A lot of folks are leaving on both sides of the stadium as the trail of [2:30:25] red lights that has been building here. This stadium located right off of Reisinger [2:30:30] Avenue in Southport Worth off of I-35. So third down and call it along seven for the [2:30:37] Bearcats. Have to get inside the 19 yard line. Williams will roll half roll over the [2:30:41] right. Throws to the right side, passes caught. Colby Thompson gets a catch down to the [2:30:46] 20 yard line. He's still short of the first down, but now they might give him the spot. [2:30:53] Looks like the line, Judge, was able to give him the extra two yards to the 18 yard line. [2:30:57] So yes, the Bearcats do convert. It is a bull goose construction first down. The Bearcats [2:31:02] keep the chains moving at the 18 yard line with four minutes to play in our game. That [2:31:11] was a really good pass there. That was fine. You know, fine Colby Thompson out there. [2:31:16] You know, he had he had pressure in his face that time. He stood in the pocket, is able to [2:31:19] deliver a catchable ball there and extend the drive. Williams 14 out of 23, 470, [2:31:26] 6 yards. He throws to the outside and it's incomplete. He was looking for a palmquist [2:31:31] at about the seven yard line. The deepest penetration for the Bearcats tonight was when [2:31:35] they got to about the nine, eight yard line in the middle of the second quarter, but unfortunately [2:31:40] for them that possession fell apart when Williams gave was sacked and fumbled. And then [2:31:47] North Crowley fell on it. They had another golden opportunity in the third quarter when [2:31:51] they had a first in 10 at the 29 yard line. But unfortunately that possession went [2:31:56] backwards as well. So this is their actually their deepest, their second deepest penetration [2:32:01] of the night on a second down play action firing over the middle of the passes just too [2:32:05] low for Kane Lanier at the five yard line. Williams was trying to did a little bit of a [2:32:12] zone read there to Izzy Roberts trying to freeze the linebacker and then he fired quickly [2:32:16] to Kane, but it was a little bit too low. Yeah, and that's probably honestly good for [2:32:20] Kane to not catch that one because if he did, he was going to get killed by that [2:32:25] same there. I mean, that was that was a dangerous spot to be in. [2:32:29] Bearcats are coming up on their 20th, third down attempt of the night. They again, they [2:32:34] have owned the time of possession in this ballgame. They're going to win that part easily here. [2:32:39] Third down and it'll be a gift to Izzy running room. 10, 15, excuse me, down to the 12 yard [2:32:46] line. He's still well short of the first down. He got seven and at least it makes this [2:32:54] fourth down attempt a little bit more manageable as he gets to the 11 yard line. So the Bearcats [2:32:58] have to get to the eight. Now, if you cared about the streak, you would send your field goal, [2:33:05] you would feel send your field goal unit team out there, but as a matter of principle, [2:33:10] when you're trying to build some things, you've got to keep your offense out there. [2:33:13] Yeah, you're not worried about that at this point. You're worried about trying to get better [2:33:16] and improve here. [2:33:17] Williams to throw and it's incomplete as he was looking for a Caden Palmquist at about [2:33:21] the two yard line pass was behind him as he was cutting the rod inside. And so the Bearcats [2:33:26] turn it over on downs once again and another possession that goes inside the North Crowley [2:33:31] Red Zone ends in disappointment. So that streak of 328 games, that look like it's going [2:33:38] to extend to 329 here with three minutes and 46 seconds to go in the ball. Now at the [2:33:45] North Crowley 11 yard line, but all streaks end as we know. [2:33:48] Yeah, no, I like to call there and they had it to the past wasn't there totally agree with [2:33:53] it. I mean, again, you could have tried the field goal there just for the sake of keeping [2:33:57] I mean, more of a reason. [2:33:58] At this point, really don't count for anything. It doesn't matter. You got to go there [2:34:00] and try to continue to compete. And they had the chance there. They weren't able to connect, [2:34:05] but you know, that's what you got to do in this situation. Just they haven't been good [2:34:08] enough tonight. And that's at the end of the day. That's what it comes down to. [2:34:11] Torres remains the quarterback for North Crowley here as they start deep on their end of the [2:34:15] field. They give us to ingram over the left side left right side rather. Excuse me. He [2:34:18] gets to the 18 yard line. It's a pick up of seven yards for him. And I would think at [2:34:25] this point that to mark his hair is in his offensive staff will probably run a little pace here, [2:34:32] be deliberate and just kind of keep it on the ground here to try and burn as much clock. [2:34:35] If you're wondering if it matters, both teams had their full complement of timeouts of three [2:34:40] remaining on the second and seven to give us to ingram over the right side has a first [2:34:45] down across the 25 gets to about the 27 yard line. And we got another hobble of bear cat [2:34:54] there is hobbling on his ankle as Max Foreman. It's his right ankle and he's hot footing off [2:35:01] the field and he finally goes down so he can get it looked at so he'll be replaced. [2:35:09] Could be a cramp as well. I wouldn't be surprised here again. I'd love that when I talk to Robbie on the [2:35:16] coaches podcast, this coming Monday at age five sportsman, it'll be interesting to find out [2:35:20] to what extent the cramping wasn't played. But they do have now the backup quarterback in that's [2:35:24] just yielding theocratic. He throws it to the right side. We'll go to Mercedes here for this [2:35:28] sideline report. Kevin, varsity team does practice in the mornings. It's obviously a little bit [2:35:33] cooler in the mornings, but really in the last couple of weeks, there's been several afternoons [2:35:36] where they wouldn't be able to practice in the afternoon anyway. So this is about as hot as [2:35:40] it's gotten for them. Really the whole time they've been practicing because of the wet bulb and [2:35:45] what they're allowed to do. Yeah, running play up the middle and lots of running room to for [2:35:49] ingram as he gets across the 45 to the 49 yard line. It's a pick up of 15 yards as the clock stops [2:35:56] with 235. And now the second team quarterback, McCratic wants to work a little tempo. Why not? [2:36:02] Have an opportunity to do that. Again, a lot of the first team offices are in it, but again, [2:36:07] Jacob Torres' night is over. We got a penalty marker before this play was snapped. We might have [2:36:13] a procedure penalty against North Crowley. And North Crowley has been penalized a ton here tonight. [2:36:20] 15 for 143 yards. The bear cats to their part only six for 30. So they've been good as far as [2:36:27] that's concerned. But now a first and 15 coming up in the clock runs. Again, next week, [2:36:34] Alito's home opener against Waco Midway. That'll be a seven o'clock kickoff with the pregame show [2:36:38] on Hank FM at 630. Cratic McCratic to throw. He was looking for Price Demerson. And we have a flag [2:36:45] going against the Alito secondary, presumably on that because the flag was thrown in right as [2:36:51] Demerson was trying to make his break, which really that there was an official right there in the [2:36:57] middle of the field had eyes on it. He's not the only to flag the guy over here on the sideline. [2:37:01] You know, he really didn't have the angle on it. It's one throwing the flag there. So [2:37:05] I don't love that, but you know, it is what it is. So the defensive pass interference goes against [2:37:10] the bear cats and shame on me because I was just complimenting them on their lack of penalty. So [2:37:15] that's seven for 45. And a first and 10 for North Crowley at the Alito 44 yard line. [2:37:24] Throw out to the right. The pass is caught going down the Alito sideline and running away as Kate [2:37:28] Smithy finally gets dragged out at about the 12 yard line in Alito territory. He had a lot of running [2:37:34] room before he was finally shoved out a bound. So the clock stops with 207 to play here in the fourth [2:37:41] quarter. We will have the two minute time out coming up 32 yards on that pass place. So [2:37:47] North Crowley wants to get into the end zone one more time. And if you're not going to tackle him, [2:37:53] I mean, you're going to make it at least tough on that time. He was untouched for most of the way. [2:37:57] Just out ran everybody. Thankfully, they're able to get him out of the bounds there. Or he's [2:38:00] able to get in the end zone. A critic throws the passes caught by Macy is rustled down at about [2:38:05] the six yard line. It's a pick up of six yards and that will take us to the two minute time out. [2:38:11] We'll take the time out here one minute break back for the final two minutes here in Crowley. [2:38:15] You're listening to Alito Bearcats football and Hank FM Friday nights mean one thing. Also a reminder that the Titan Redemix post-game show comes [2:39:34] your way next. We'll have the players of the game. We'll have our post-game chat with [2:39:39] Elito head coach Robbie Jones. We'll have a statistical breakdown of this game tonight along with [2:39:44] our play of the game. And of course following that as you just heard on the promo a few moments ago, [2:39:50] the KTFW High School scoreboard show, the Bear Gats defense trying to hold on here one more time [2:39:55] here with two minutes to play. It is a second down and four at the [2:40:00] The six yard line, the give is to Ingram and he's bottled up behind the line of scrimmage. Three Bearcats were back there. Timon Minks was there, Max Forman who had the cramp a few moments ago. He returned and they put him back for a loss of, you can see officially back a four back to the 10 yard line. North Crowley will work with some urgency here. 26 to nothing. North Crowley leads Aledo Aledo's 328 game consecutive streak with a score. 90 seconds away from coming to [2:40:30] the end here. McCratic, the second team quarterback will throw his under pressure. He will roll to the right. Timon Minks chases him in the past as thrown in complete and out of bounds. It was caught but well out of bounds. So that brings up third down and call it 8 at the 10 yard line with 120 to go. They'll bring up fourth down. And I'm assuming here to mark his hair. So keep his offense on the field. Yeah, it looks like they're going to take one more shot to the end zone here and see if the Bearcats defense can, you know, try to hold up for one more play here and keep him out of the end zone. And this is the first [2:41:00] team Aledo defense out there. No one has changed. No one has left. I mean, Aledo's defense, I think minus the two big plays, Kyle, that they gave up on. I mean, I think they've really coded themselves pretty well tonight. They have, especially going up against the team they're planning against and how explosive they are. I mean, they've done really good job. They just been beat on two, two deep plays. That's really been the only time they haven't been playing well tonight. A critic to throw being chased from behind and he will be brought down from behind on a sack. Great job there. [2:41:30] By Aston Abel who chased him from behind never gave up on the play. That's technically a sack. The second one for the Aledo defense tonight. And the defense does hold. They keep the Panthers out of the end zone. And they will get the ball at their own 10 with a minute 13 to go. Okay. So they have 73 seconds. And if you're going to try and just snap this streak, you've got to hit some big verticals here. Yeah. I mean, they're going to have to, it depends on what they want to do here. Do you want to run the ball and just run the clock out and get out of here? Are you want to try to, you know, push down field? [2:42:00] And get some points. You know, the one bright thing I think going back to the defense though is, I mean, they kept North Crabley out of the end zone. The second half. They did make the adjustments they needed to. And they're a little more stingy on the defense the side of the ball. Now, North Crabley is able to get yards. And it got really good players. That's not surprising. But to keep them out of the end zone. The second half, I thought, you know, it was impressive the way they responded to what happened the first half. You know, offensively, obviously there's some, there's some areas to improve there. But like you said, outside of those two big plays, I think [2:42:30] the defense actually put didn't play all that bad tonight on the first down play. They run a stretch play to Izzy Roberts over the left side. And he will lose five yards back to the five yard line. As the clock rolls under a minute to play here in our game. I think Robbie Jones might be content just to run a couple of running. Based on that way, that opening play looked that he's just going to run a couple of running plays and get this thing over with. Because the barcats are in a huddle. They're waiting for the play to be signaled in there and absolutely no hurry here. Tray Williams will bring [2:43:00] his team to the line of scrimmage. He will stand in the shotgun with his feet just a just outside of the goal line. Takes the snap. He will hand it off. Izzy Roberts with some running room 10 to the 14 yard line. And now we don't have to run another run another play. [2:43:17] Good. And Izzy Roberts. Well, that'll stop the game. That'll stop the clock with 21 seconds to go here as Roberts was dealing with what appears to be a cramping issue. But he says he's okay. But he went down and he does have to leave the game. [2:43:32] And so he will be able to walk off the field under his own power. But what that also means to is that Alito can run another play had Roberts been able to get up. We would have been able to walk off the field. [2:43:44] But Alito will have the benefit of running one more play. But if you could hear with that injury that they do run 10 seconds off. So it's now down to what should be down at 11 seconds here at the play clock. [2:43:57] Now they put it at 11 o'clock 11 seconds. So here we go. Clock winds. Williams will drop the football. He'll hand it off. It is going to be running up the field. And it's going to be why a Dorsi on the carry. He gets thrown down at the 12 yard line. [2:44:14] And the game is over. And so is the streak for Alito in terms of games where it has scored. Well, this first game is a classic. A school. A lot of lessons to be learned by the Alito bear cats. [2:44:27] Offense had a lot of opportunities. Couldn't take advantage of them. The bear cats defense with the exception of two big plays really to the solid job all night. But again, great learning lessons. A lot of things to be taken from this as the bear cats will look ahead to their home opener next Friday. [2:44:43] But tonight, the opener as a classic. A school, not the way the bear cats wanted it to go. Final score here in Crowley is North Crowley. 26 and Alito. Nothing back with our post game show right after this. [2:44:55] And into Alito bear cats football on 92.1. Hank FF. [2:47:02] You will be listening to Aledo Bearcats football on 92.1, HKFM. [2:47:09] Welcome to the Titan-ready mix post-game show. I'm Kevin Longquist here and Crowley along with my sidekick, Kyle Hicks, Mercedes-Mire on the sidelines. The Deacon has all the stats. [2:47:19] Hayden Pozzi, the Aledo alum here is our on-site engineer, Jake Summers back at the KTFW 92.1 HKFM Studios in Sundance Square for words. [2:47:30] Well, Aledo's Class 6A debut did not go the way they wanted it to. They had some opportunities with their offices. We mentioned it throughout the course of the broadcast, just could not get it done. [2:47:42] And they fell here in this opener to a very good North Crowley team. One of the best defensive teams we've seen in quite some time is that North Crowley defensive unit, especially with that defensive front, pitches the shut out. [2:47:55] The Bearcats fall tonight by a score of 26 to nothing. And the Bearcats also see their streak of consecutive games scored and at 328. [2:48:05] If you weren't with us earlier in the broadcast, that streak started after Aledo lost in the fourth round of the state for a playoffs to Denton Ryan 17 to nothing. [2:48:15] That was back in back at Texas Stadium, which is no longer in existence. But quite a streak though. It lasted for 22-21 seasons here. All streaks come to an end. That's just the way it happens here. [2:48:27] And the Bearcats will take a lot of lessons to it. The Bearcats have already gone through their plain of the Alma Mater here. They're now waiting for North Crowley to play. [2:48:35] It's Alma Mater and then Mercedes will have our players of the game. We'll also have our elders, pure water play of the game as well. And Kyle, just some thoughts from you again. [2:48:45] If you weren't with us at the end of the broadcast, I thought the defense for Aledo minus a couple of big verticals really gave a pretty good showing as far as Dave used our concern. [2:48:54] Yeah, I thought there was a lot of good things you could take away from the defense, especially on the defensive line in the running game. [2:49:01] I thought they played physical. They made it tough on North Crowley there at the end was cause able to find a little bit of ground on the running or a little bit of room on the running game. [2:49:12] But the Bearcats defense able to hold strong and keep them out of the end zone there in the second half. [2:49:19] I think offensively there's a lot of work to be done pretty much across the board. I don't think any of the offensive starters are going to watch that game and I think this is going to be acceptable to them. [2:49:32] But that's the good thing about Aledo is that their coaches demand a lot out of their players and they will get better. [2:49:38] This is something they're going to have to learn from. It's not going to be fun watching this film for them, but that's how you improve. [2:49:45] You've got to take constructive criticism, correct your mistakes and just get back to work. [2:49:50] At the end of the day, that's all you can do here. They were the better team. They played better. They were physically dominated up front. [2:49:57] There's nothing you could do about it at this point. So learn from it, get better and learn to not make the same mistakes twice. [2:50:06] They will improve. You're not going to see a defense like they saw to know probably full of rest of the season. [2:50:14] That was a legit one of the better high school defenses I've seen in person. They were outstanding across the board. They didn't really have any weaknesses and they played fast. They played physical. They were disciplined. [2:50:27] They made it just so tough for Aledo. The time Aledo got the ball on their 29 yard line. They ended up punting from their own side of the field. [2:50:36] That was sacks and penalties. They just get after you. I was thoroughly impressed with North Crowley's defense and how well they played tonight. [2:50:46] I have this theory where you're going to list your order of importance for a football team like numerically. [2:50:54] Obviously your quarterback is your number one player, but I've always felt in my mind that while your quarterback is one, your defensive line is one a. [2:51:03] That's how that's I've always believed. And you can feel and I don't know how you feel about it. But you've got one in one a. And when you're and we'll get to that here in a second here. [2:51:12] But I'll have you speak to that after our players finish here, but about the defensive line. Okay. Time now for our players of the game. [2:51:18] It's brought to you by Aaron Valencia, the A game agent. And here's Mercedes with our players of the game. [2:51:23] Hey guys, first we have Max form in here. Max. Obviously not the outcome you want, but to make the shift from the first half to the second half and see you. [2:51:31] Shut them out in the second half after what happened. The first. How proud of you. Are you of this team? Yes, ma'am. Super proud. Obviously. [2:51:37] I was going to have time, make adjustments to see you kind of game plan what they did in the first half. And I think our team did a great job. Our defense really stepped up. [2:51:45] And you know, the game does always 0 0 half time. So you always got to go in with that mindset. [2:51:50] I was trying to explain to the guys upstairs because they have air conditioning. How really, really hot and humid it is down here. And you guys had to play really tough for for four quarters. [2:52:01] And your guys really just hung in there with a really tough team. Just talk about kind of the whole atmosphere and they're the real deal. [2:52:07] Yes, ma'am. Obviously they got some great players on their side of the ball. They got X factors all over the field. [2:52:12] The stadium is truly a blessing to play. And you know, people everywhere, great atmosphere to play in. And it was super hot beginning of the game. [2:52:19] I got to say super hydrate throughout the day. Game plan really for that. I caught a cramp towards the end because my body kind of just got a little tired. But next week, you got a game plan better for that. [2:52:27] You got to drink all week, Max. Just overall team effort and coach Jones saying there's just little things. Did you guys feel that too? [2:52:37] There's little things that you guys need to improve on to get better next week. Yes, ma'am. Always stuff to improve on really for the whole team. [2:52:43] Offense defense special teams. Gotta go in next week with the open mind and we gotta get ready for midway. [2:52:48] All right. Thank you, Max. Foreman, our defensive player of the game. Caitlin, near here, our offensive player of the game. A couple of nice nags on a couple of big plays. [2:52:56] How to feel pretty good to you to get the offense moving a little bit. Yes, ma'am. It did feel really good. Yes. [2:53:02] So there are defense. I think coach Jones called them the best secondary in the country. Probably pretty close. What is your assessment? [2:53:10] Yeah, their second area was really good. They have people going D1 all over and they're just fast and physical and it really put their D line, put pressure on our quarterback. [2:53:22] So it made it hard for us to like get the ball out to the receivers and make plays. Just talk about the difference though. Also for the offense between the first half and the second half. [2:53:31] You didn't get on the scoreboard, but you certainly put together more sustainable drives. Yes, ma'am. I think as the game goes on, we just kind of clicked and was. [2:53:39] We definitely like drove down the field and had a lot better like put together drives. And I think as the year goes on, we're just going to get better each game by the end of the year will be like well and sink all the time. [2:53:53] Does the game like this light a fire? Yes, it does. It also lets us. I mean, it's good to go against really good competition in North Crowley's really good. It lets us see like where we're at and what we need to work on and what we need to improve on. [2:54:06] Yeah, it definitely likes to fire and all of us. All right, thanks, Kane. Thank you. All right, guys. All right. Thanks to Mercedes and thanks to a cane linear and Max form in a very honest assessment. They're Kyle Hicks is those players of the game interviews brought to by the A game agent. I still want to get your thought on the defensive line assessment that I made. [2:54:22] But again, honest assessment by Kane and I hope everybody else were in the white jerseys tonight feels that same way on the best right over to Eastern Parker County tonight and then looking at the film and then getting ready for wake up midway next week. [2:54:35] Yeah, I mean, I think that's that's why you schedule these games. You know, you could easily schedule somebody. They know they're going to kill. But what do you really gain out of that? You know, you use these games to see where exactly are we. This is about as good as we're going to play. [2:54:48] So let's see how we match up and let's see what we have to improve on. And that's what tonight was about. You know, North Krawi was the better team. There's no question about easy. Pretty much across the board. You could probably pick a position. They probably had a better. [2:55:00] We're the player that we had, but that's why you play those teams so you can figure out where you need to improve and begin working on it. Mercedes has Robbie Jones. Go ahead, Mercedes. Coach, we talked about it half time, just kind of flipping that switch and you have time to do better. Zero, zero, really after half. Did you like what you saw and can you take that to move forward? Yeah, I mean, I mean, that's what we got to do. We got to go back and look at all the little mistakes that we're making. And we got to get those corrected. We got to start having perfect practice. [2:55:30] And we're not doing that right now and that showed up tonight. I think our defense stepped up and did a really good job the second half. Take those deep balls away, take away the pick six. And it's a lot closer game. And then we missed on several opportunities that we had. So we got to take advantage of the opportunities when we get them and come back better next week. I heard you say to them, I don't doubt you. Like I'm not doubting you at all. Right. There's a lot of little hate. [2:56:00] There's a lot of leaders out there and the little haters are trying to say, yeah, we're six, they ball, little can't hang. You know, for the most part tonight we played, you know, told our toe with these guys. They hit some big plays on us. We struggled offensively, which I knew we were going to have a hard time offensively because when you return only one starter from the year before, it's going to be difficult, especially in the first game. When you played one of the top defenses in the state of Texas and they were sending a lot of stuff at them. And you know, I think we're going to have a hard time off. [2:56:30] It made it difficult on them. Jeremiah Johnson, probably going to get reassessed. I'm guessing probably tomorrow or later this week. Yeah, I haven't gotten a total word on it. But you know, we got a clinic that we send guys to home Saturday morning. So any of our injured guys can go to that clinic, get checked out by the doctors and get evaluated and see what happens. You hope this lights a little bit of a fire under them. Yeah, I think so. You know, I think they'll come back hungry next week. [2:57:00] They'll come back that when these guys don't like to lose. So they'll come back ready to go Monday morning and we'll see what happens next week. All right. Thank you. Thank you. All right. Robbie Jones, again, with Mercedes, our thanks to him, following the barcats. [2:57:14] Frustrating the loss of 26 to nothing, but again, Kyle, I know I've been delaying your point about about the defensive line. But man, it can make such a difference and just change a game entirely on both sides of the ball. [2:57:28] Yeah, because I mean, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the speed of number one for any team is going to be your quarterback. Well, how do you disrupt a quarterback with a defensive line? Yeah. [2:57:35] If you can rush the passer and get after him like that, it makes it so much tougher, which is what we saw happen to Alito tonight. [2:57:41] Tray Williams really was never able to get comfortable back there. He had people in his face all night. They were bringing blitzes, they bring pressure off the edge. [2:57:49] And he wasn't really able to set his feet very often and try to deliver a catchable ball down field. And that's really what put the, put the struggle to Alito's offense, because the, you know, the sacks, the lost yards. I think they're shortest third down. They had was third in nine. Yeah. [2:58:04] I mean, no, actually, that is our, the legion, they got one third and five. They had like a third and two, I think, actually. So, but the 90% of the game, the shortest one they had was third and 10, third and nine. [2:58:15] Yeah, the average was third and nine, basically. So I mean, that's hard to win football game. If you're looking at that, every third down, which what caused that was North Krali's ability to brush the passer. [2:58:26] And Alito really didn't have an answer for it. And that's what, you know, kind of coach Jones, you know, talked about is that they, it's got to get better. They got to start practice and better and play and better. And you do that. [2:58:36] A lot of these mistakes that were made tonight will take care of themselves. [2:58:38] Absolutely. And I think one of those things, too, is that this is kind of a game where it's, if you will, drinking out of a fire hose, where you're making a major jump like this and saying, this is as much as it's been fun to beat up your district, your district cohorts by like [2:58:54] 60 to 14, 70 to 7 or 50 to those days, those days are pretty much over. Yeah, you're going to be, you're going to be in a dogfight most weeks. That's just the nature of the plan in 6A every, especially when most of schools in 6A probably have more students. Yes, you're not one of the bigger schools anymore. [2:59:10] You're going to be at a disadvantage from that standpoint. So you're going to have a lot more close for ballgame. So you're going to have to play four quarters. You're going to have to, you know, you're going to have to do the little things right to beat some of these teams. [2:59:22] And, you know, if you're not doing that consistently, you're going to struggle. Yeah. So and that they didn't do it consistently tonight, which is why the result is what it is. But, you know, like they said, they get to go back to work next week and try to get. [2:59:33] All right. And by the way, we do want to give another shout out to platinum collision for their sponsorship of the fourth quarter, platinum collision of Willow Park for the fourth quarter. Yeah. And that's going to be one of those things where with a team like this that. [2:59:48] Again, for as much success, Alito has enjoyed pretty much starting from the 1998 state championship team through your years. [2:59:56] And then obviously the insane run that we saw 11 state titles and 17 seasons, even a shorter window than that. [3:00:02] Again, you never, I kept saying to people from Alito and even in our broadcast crew with the late Jeff Williams, we all understood what we were watching. It was a unicorn type of thing. [3:00:13] It doesn't happen. No, it doesn't happen. What we what we had was we were living in the bubble and we enjoyed the bubble. But we all knew it wasn't going to last. Okay. [3:00:20] So those days are over. Okay. So now we just keep playing football year in and year out and we enjoy and we hope that it's another deep run and hope things that happen. [3:00:27] Again, Sky isn't falling. It wasn't a fun night out here in North and Crowley against North Crowley. But a thing that you can take away from it and say, okay, you can either take this result and get better for it. [3:00:40] Or you can let it define you one way or the other. It's kind of a. Yeah, I mean, you got to do you have two choices. If you can be mature enough to realize what who you play tonight and, you know, what you didn't do well and where you need to improve. [3:00:51] This can be a good thing. It might come the end of the season. You can use this to get better. But you got to understand you have a long way to go. And if you're willing to put in the work and get better and prove every week. [3:01:02] You know, there's no telling word this team can go, but you saw tonight what a really talented six A school can do. And they have players at every single position. They don't really have a weakness for the most part and you have to find ways to compete with that. [3:01:17] If you want to get if you want to be the best team, San Antonio, you have to be able to compete with a team like that. And they're not there yet. So, you know, that's that's part of some of the growing pains that they're going to face at this new division. But I still think you'd be crazy to think they're not going to [3:01:31] still be a tough team to deal with and come into the season. So I'm excited to see where it goes from here with them. But you know, just this is just the first step. [3:01:38] And you know, you just got to continue to improve and we'll see where there is a difference to remember North Crowley is likely going to be a division one school in the playoffs or more than likely they will. Of course, they're in that new district with Duncanville, Waxa Hatchee and a couple of the Mansfield schools as well. And Crowley's going to be in there with them. [3:01:55] And then Alitos probably more than likely should they get their season going in the direction that everybody wants to to and they make the playoffs. There's no question. They're going to be division two. Yeah. [3:02:04] And there is a big difference in that too. Yes. [3:02:06] The Duncanville's, you know, those schools like that, the North shores, all them. They're going to be division one. Yeah, like you're not going to play teams like that. And North Crowley. [3:02:15] And that's the type of caliber team that they are. So, you know, that's this why I think coach Jones and his staff like these games. They know it's going to be tough. They know it's going to be hard. [3:02:24] But you get your guys to see what what's out there and where how much farther they need to go to get where they want to be. And I think it's a good good way to start the season with a wake up call like this. [3:02:35] All right. We'll take a time out here. Two minutes. We'll be back with the second half of the Titan right in the post game show again. Bearcats fall in the 2026 season opener. [3:02:42] Their debut as a classics a school North Crowley beats the bear catch 26 to nothing back on the other side with the other half of the Titan right in the post game show after this time out. [3:04:52] Let's go, let's go. Ready? Ready? You will be listening to Alito Bearcats football on 92.1. Hey, Jeff. [3:05:00] Back here on the Titan Red MX post game show at Crowley ISD, multi-purpose stadium. Now [3:05:08] time to take a look at the statistical report from this game and it's brought to you by [3:05:12] Fort Worth Stockyards Heritage Club. First down to the ball game, Aledo had 13 North [3:05:17] Crowley was 16. The Russian obviously the big problem for the Bearcats because there were [3:05:22] so many sacks of Tre Williams in this game. The Bearcats officially finished with minus [3:05:26] 33 yards rushing. Again the sacks had everything to do with that. North Crowley finished with [3:05:31] 119. So the average rushing per attempt for Aledo was minus 0.89 yards per carry. Again, [3:05:39] all sacks related. North Crowley was surprisingly 4.76 yards per carry but again a couple big runs, [3:05:45] kind of a scramble that I can recall from Torres and maybe one or two big runs by Ingram Endor Smith [3:05:51] kind of did that but other than that Aledo did a great job on bottling up that running game. [3:05:56] Passing yards for the ball game for Aledo, they finished with 184. North Crowley finished with [3:06:01] 226 total yards in the ball game Aledo with 151. North Crowley with 345. The Bearcats had two [3:06:09] turnovers in the game. Both of them the first half of pick six unfortunately that Tre Williams [3:06:14] threw and then he also lost a fumble deep in North Crowley territory. No turnovers for North Crowley [3:06:19] tonight. As far as third down attempts, the Bearcats had 21 of these. I can't remember a game [3:06:25] when they had that many third down attempts but that just kind of shows you what the North Crowley [3:06:29] defense was all about. The Bearcats were 7 out of 21 on those. The average need was eternity [3:06:35] for North Crowley. Their average they were two of eight on third down tonight and their average [3:06:41] need was actually more than Aledo. Technically Aledo was like 8.9 but North Crowley was 10. The Bearcats [3:06:46] did attempt five fourth downs. They converted two of them. Their average need on fourth down was [3:06:52] nine as well. Again, North Crowley did not have a fourth down attempt. It really didn't need one. [3:06:57] Punts in the ball game. Aledo with five in average 37 North Crowley, six in average 20. [3:07:06] Penalties in the ball game. Aledo 7 for 45 North Crowley, 15 for 143. Also had a player ejected. That was [3:07:14] a sophomore right guard chase Wilkins. He had a double sports and like conduct penalty in the [3:07:19] third quarter. So he was disqualified from the ball game. Total time of possession. This was so [3:07:24] lopsided in Aledo's favor three to one essentially. 32 minutes and 49 seconds. North Crowley, [3:07:32] 11 minutes and 11 seconds. I don't think I've ever seen that big of a difference. I mean, [3:07:38] we've seen like 25 to 25 to whatever. But I mean, I don't think like 30 to 18 or something like that. [3:07:44] But not three to one. No. And I think that really goes a show actually how well the Aledo [3:07:48] defense really did play. Yes. I mean, they got beat on two deep balls and a pick six. [3:07:54] Wasn't their fault. The two deep balls. Other than that, they really did a good job of [3:07:58] containing them and really prevent North Crowley from establishing drives throughout the game. So [3:08:03] I think the defense should feel pretty good about where they are. I mean, they did a good job. It's [3:08:07] a really good offense. It just for, you know, those two deep balls, which has kind of been the [3:08:11] lead of the defenses Achilles heel going back to last year. They got to find a way when they get [3:08:16] a really, really talented fast receive on the outside to keep him from running by your secondary. [3:08:21] Because that's really the only thing that beat him so not defensively. Okay. [3:08:24] Individually for Aledo tonight, Trey Williams was sacked six times for 60 yards. He was at, [3:08:31] but he had a total number of seven carries that lost 58 yards. Jeremiah Johnson, again, he went down [3:08:36] with what appeared to be a knee injury late in the fourth quarter will help. We'll hopefully have [3:08:41] some more news on him, maybe on the coaches podcast on Monday. And then obviously, of course, [3:08:46] next week against Midway. He had 14 attempts for 10 yards. Izzy Roberts, 10 carries for nine yards. [3:08:53] Eli Peneck, the backup quarterback got six carries when Trey Williams had to leave the game in the [3:08:57] third quarter, six carries for seven yards for him. Wyatt Dorsie had one carry and he lost a yard on that. [3:09:04] Trey Williams for the night 14 out of 26 with an interception for 159 yards. And of course, [3:09:09] that interception was a big play in this game as well. Eli Peneck was two out of five for 25 yards. [3:09:15] Jeremiah, as far as the receiving is concerned, Jeremiah Johnson caught a pass for one. [3:09:19] Caden Newsbaum caught a pass for a yard. Kingston Parks caught a pass for a yard. [3:09:24] Maddox Nurse two catches 29 yards. Colby Thompson two catches for 29 yards. [3:09:30] Caden Palmquist, the new moving from Arizona for catches for 28 yards. [3:09:35] Izzy Roberts caught that will route the longest offensive play for the bear catch tonight. [3:09:39] That one for 39 yards. And then Cain Lanier let all receivers with four catches for 56 yards. [3:09:47] Individually for North Crowley tonight, Jacob Torres, they're starting quarterback. He had 15 [3:09:51] carries for 30 yards. He did take a sack. Ingram had 12 carries. Kianti Ingram 12 carries for 70 yards. [3:09:58] And then the back of Rell Smith, he had six carries for 20 yards. So you can see where the bear catch did a [3:10:04] really good job against two backs. Again, these are guys that each rushed for a thousand yards last year. [3:10:10] Torres through the yard tonight was 11 out of 21 with no interceptions for 188 yards through three touchdowns. [3:10:17] McCadrick was three out of four for 46 yards. And then May 7 catches for 98 yards when touchdown Smith [3:10:24] three catches for 109 yards at a score. Demerson won catch, but did not get any yards out of that. [3:10:30] And then Cain Smith two catches for 19 yards. And real quickly, we'll give you the scoring recap here. [3:10:36] All of this took place in the first half. And of course, Alito did not score. And then that ended their [3:10:40] streak of 328 games going back to 2004. A Mays 55 yard touchdown pass that completed a five play, 80 yard drive. [3:10:50] Remember the bear cats had punted deep into North Crowley territory, but unfortunately the punting punk coverage team was [3:10:58] not able to save it and down it inside the five yard line had a man had one of their down lineman actually have his [3:11:05] body in the end zone, which obviously counts as a touchback. So that kind of hurt there. Then on the [3:11:10] ensuing possession, a very freakish play as far as Alito was concerned when Trey Williams was trying to throw a [3:11:17] bubble screen over the top. And it got tipped around by Braille and Cunningham, the defensive back for [3:11:24] North Crowley. And he was able to collect it and then go 74 yards on the pick six that made it 13 to [3:11:29] nuffing. And then in the second quarter, the two big plays of 10 play 53 yard drive that finished off on a [3:11:37] Cain Smith 12 yard touchdown pass from Jacob Torres with a good block from Mays that made it 20 to [3:11:44] nothing with the extra point. And then the final play the game was right at the end of the first half was a 65 yard touchdown pass [3:11:50] when Cade Jacob Torres let it rip for Cade Smith that went for 65 yards. And it covered that made it 26 to nothing. [3:11:58] The bear cats were able to block the extra kick again. The bear cats got close a couple of times. And the first half [3:12:03] they got down to the nine yard line on a first and goal. Unfortunately that ended in a lost fumble. Then laid in the [3:12:08] game with about four and a half minutes to go they were able to get down to inside the 20 yard line. But [3:12:13] unfortunately that draw actually down to the 11 yard line and that drive was actually fizzled as well. [3:12:19] Unfortunately so the bear cats attempts to try and score twice came apart. And we do owe you the elders peer [3:12:26] water play of the game. And this was one of the nice throws that we saw. We see some things from Trey Williams [3:12:32] that we know that it's there. If he gets the time in the pocket which again a great defensive line for North [3:12:39] Crowley really made life very difficult for the Alito offensive line probably won't be that way for the rest of the year. [3:12:45] But Williams was able to connect with Cain Leneer with our offensive play of the game to keep one of the bear cats [3:12:50] possessions going at the 20 Williams to throw has time fires over the middle of the past is caught Cain Leneer first down [3:12:57] across the 40 to the 45 yard line. Good looking ball there by Trey Williams and a good route there by [3:13:04] Cain Leneer. All right and so there's your elders peer water play of the game normally those are going to [3:13:08] be touchdowns but again you see what you can find but it really was a nice looking play. We probably [3:13:13] could have gone with the wheel route to to Izzy as well on that but again those were things that the bear cats [3:13:19] those are like the things that you've got to try and build on and as we know in football that the defense [3:13:24] is always ahead of the offense and with Robbie Sain and he's right you technically had two returning [3:13:31] starters on your offense but you moved one of them to the defensive front so now you're down to one [3:13:35] offensive lineman and again this Alito offensive line has been banged up again trip called well not [3:13:41] available for a while I at the from what we understand and so they're kind of mixing and matching here [3:13:46] and so the timing of everything is going to have to come together and hopefully by the time we get into the [3:13:51] district three six A season against the Arlington schools weatherford, Granbury all that sort of [3:13:55] stuff it'll start to look a little bit better and they'll they will be able to catch up if you will [3:13:59] it will because I mean strictly just from based on the amount of repetitions they'll get you know [3:14:04] they'll get more comfortable within the offense and the timing will get better and the offensive [3:14:09] figure out what it does well and what it doesn't do well you know and that's and when you start to [3:14:13] figure that stuff out it starts to get in a little easier for you on the offensive side of the ball [3:14:17] you know defense like you said it's it's just assignment and go go that you know there's not [3:14:21] none of them nearly as much timing to the defensive side of the ball as there's offense they're [3:14:25] offense always takes longer so you know that's what you work on in practice but game repetitions [3:14:30] like this is really hard to simulate so you know the more they do it out here on the field the better [3:14:35] they're going to get at it and I think you'll see consistent improvement from here on out mama said [3:14:40] there would be days like this yeah apparently it's so it's only been about you know 20 years that's [3:14:45] offensive as a freshman in high school the last time they got shut it it happens you know that's [3:14:49] I for much of a casual statement that is saying it happens but it does it does and so you know we've [3:14:55] we've enjoyed everything about bear cat football this is a fun journey though because [3:15:00] You want to see, I mean, if you're a competitor, you want to see, you want to go against the best. Well, Aledo went against one of the best. Remember, North Crowley between 2022 and 2025 has won 54 of 58 games. Now it's 55 of 59, mixing a state championship in 2024, got to the state quarterfinals last year where they lost to Allen of all people. So it's like they're really good. They're really good. I mean, everyone's and so, but that's the competitors want to see where they are. [3:15:30] And if it means you kind of take it on the chin a little bit, then you do it. Well, if you weren't expecting this result or a similar result, I don't think you really understood what Aledo was walking into tonight. Like that's a very experienced, deep team on the other side of the field from him. Aledo is not that right now. They lost a ton of people from last year. And that it was there. Just that team they played tonight is on a different level than they are right now. And will they get there? Yeah, I truly think Aledo will get there, but it takes time. It doesn't happen. [3:16:00] Remember, it's not how you start. It's how you fix that. So it's for full of cliches. Exactly. But with that, we will get you ready for next week for game number two of the 2026 season. And the home opener at Berk at Tim Bcken and Stena. Oh, by the way, the Deacon's out of whack. Do you have two? You have two of those. Okay. So the first out of whack step. See, I'm first game. We have to make these adjustments. But the first Deacon out of whack stat was 23% of Aledo's first downs came [3:16:30] via penalty three of their 13 make sense because North Crowley helped him on a couple of occasions. And that roughened the punter penalty on the on the opening possession. Gosh, if they could have done something with that, you know. And then the second out of whack stat, Aledo's first offense yards. It was. Aledo's first offense yards. [3:16:50] Aledo's first, okay, Aledo's 151 yards. You have it looks like it looks like first. Okay. So, so Pam, will you talk to him about rewriting. And so Aledo has 151 offensive yards North Crowley penalty yards 143 yikes. Yeah. Kind of. I wrote. [3:17:11] Pretty much. So, but you know, we'll be ready, but the home schedule of the 2026 season starts next week. And then the bear cats will welcome the wake. Oh, midway Panthers, another Panther team coming to town here in the Eastern park or county. And we hope that you will be a part of that either at the stadium or on the air with us. We begin with the pregame show on 92.1. [3:17:32] Hank FM at 630. Then the kickoff between the bear cats and the Panthers will be at 7 o'clock home opener for Aledo. And then we'll see if they can write the ship and get things going against wake. Oh, midway. So for Kyle Hicks and the decan from Mercedes Meyer, Hayden Posey here at the on site, doing great work here on site. [3:17:52] Actually did find the difference between Everman and Crowley on his way over here. So that was good to know. And then for Jake Summers back at the KTFW studios in downtown Fort Worth. I'm Kevin Long was stick around for the KTFW high school scoreboard show after these messages. You're listening to Aledo bear cats football on 92.1. Hank FM back after this time out. There are about four and a half minutes to go in that one there. Three eight division two. I can give you a couple from this neck of the woods. I will find that here. [3:37:36] Merkel plane early there late in the fourth quarter were early leads. Merkel by score 35 to 26. Jack Spurrow over millsap by a score 45 to 18 two and a half minutes there. I wondered why I wasn't getting that millsap score. Right. [3:37:48] Unfortunately our unofficial officials team of the scoreboard show not off to a great start tonight. And then Ryle Vista overcurns by a score of 47 to 20 and balance your leading Eastland by a score of 27 to 6. That game is late in the fourth quarter there. [3:38:05] Okay. Cowboys finished up their exhibition season tonight at 18 to state him their first and only exhibition home game of the 2026 season. They fell to the New Orleans Saints by a score of 27 to 24. The Cowboys have to get their roster cut down to 53 to by the end of Sunday. I believe it is. And so that means that they're going to have to get their roster set. Of course, they will open the season right after Labor Day against the New York Giants. [3:38:33] I think that's a Thursday night game. And then as far as the Rangers are concerned, big three game series for them up in Milwaukee to take on a major league baseball's best team. The Milwaukee Brewers, the Rangers fell by a score of six to one to the Brewers tonight. [3:38:47] Cody Bradford who is in a little alum took the loss in that one. So that so this is what this means with their loss. The Rangers are two games behind the Houston Astros. The Astros are 68 and 67. The Rangers are now 66 and 69. I'd still keep an eye on Seattle. [3:39:02] Even though they've had their tough times, they've actually been pretty good in terms of their pitching. So just kind of watch out for that. The Astros did beat the New York Mets tonight by score of three to one. So that's why there is a two game difference between the Astros and the Rangers. So the Rangers will continue that series in Milwaukee tomorrow as well as Sunday. [3:39:21] And then the college football season actually begins this weekend. T.C. will be an action overseas in Ireland to take on North Carolina. That's 11 o'clock kick off over in Dublin. [3:39:31] A couple of other games to let you know about you. A C will be playing North Carolina state and Virginia will be playing. That's actually a non conference ACC game to let you know about. But again, check your local listings. And of course, the big opening weekend for the college football season will be Labor Day weekend as it always is. [3:39:49] At least for the final time because if you didn't hear the NCAA has paved the way for the college football season to start on zero week, which is actually what this week is called. [3:39:59] So the college football season will actually be a 14 week season with two buys mixed in. And so it will start the last weekend of August and then we'll run all the way through Thanksgiving weekend just to give you that heads up on that. And so. But again, football isn't full swing. [3:40:14] We will be on the air next week following the broadcast of a little bear cats football when the bear cats will be taking on. [3:40:21] Waco midway the pregame show on Hank FM will begin at 6 30 the kickoff is at seven o'clock between Alito and Waco and then following the post game show another edition of the KTFW high school school board show.
