Who provides water and sewer in Aledo?
Inside the city limits, the City of Aledo's public works department runs water distribution and wastewater treatment, and Utility Billing handles accounts, per the city's site. Outside the limits, service is a utility district or a well; the address lookup tells you which side of the line you are on.
How do I start service?
Residential customers complete the city's Residential Utility Service Application; commercial customers submit a Commercial Utility Service Application by email or in person at 200 Old Annetta Road with a lease, closing disclosure or proof of ownership. Allow up to two business days, per the city.
Why is my sewer charge based on winter?
The city bills wastewater on your average water use during the winter months, which it calls winter averaging; its page explains the calculation.
