What it is
- The Ledger is free. No paywall, no premium tier.
- It is independently published and source-linked: every fact in it links to the minutes, filing or dataset it came from.
- It covers useful local public information: what the city, the school board and the county decide, taxes, roads, development, schools, new businesses, meetings and the Bearcats' dates, for Aledo, Willow Park, Hudson Oaks, the Annettas, Walsh and the unincorporated areas of the district.
- It does not sell or share reader email addresses, and it does not sell ads against stories.
- You are invited to share the subscription link with your own audience. The Ledger does not request access to anyone's email list.

Print-ready cards
Two countertop cards with QR codes, sized to print at home or at a print shop: the subscribe card and the newcomer card. The codes carry a tag so the Ledger can tell which partner brought a reader, and nothing else.
