Thursday: Annetta North posts an Aledo River Road rezoning and its 2027 budget hearing for Nov. 10
Why it matters. Annetta North's Nov. 10 agenda, posted Wednesday, would cut the minimum lot size on three Aledo River Road lots from 4 acres to 2 and holds the town's public hearing on next year's budget. Aledo's council meets at 6 tonight on a downtown rezoning and a home parking rule.
133
Texas counties under a burn ban, down from 143 on the previous list. Parker is still on it. More

The Annetta North Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Annetta Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 2836 FM 5. Under old business, the agenda lists rezoning "Lots 7, 8 & 9, Block A, Aledo River Phase I," along Aledo River Road from "R-4" Single Family Residential (4-acre lots) to "R-2" (2-acre lots), an amended ordinance "regulating the size of accessory buildings," the town's roads and bridges, and its Thoroughfare Plan and General Plan 2050. New business includes a public hearing on the 2027 annual budget and the Parker County Public Utility Agency "and water supply initiative." The agenda was posted Nov. 4 and doesn't say who requested the rezoning.

Aledo council tonight, 6 p.m.: downtown rezoning and an enclosed-parking rule for homes
Tonight's agenda at City Council Chambers, Aledo Municipal Complex, 200 Old Annetta Road, has two public hearings. Ordinance No. 2026-O-31 would rezone two tracts at 325 Old Annetta Road (1.557 and 0.473 acres) from Single-Family Residential (R-1) to Downtown District (D-T). Ordinance No. 2026-O-32 amends the minimum off-street parking rules for homes; the packet says staff recommend specifying "two (2) enclosed off-street spaces" for residential uses on top of a baseline of two spaces per dwelling unit. Staff will also present plans for Christmas Tyme in Aledo (Dec. 5, 3 to 8 p.m., downtown), and the council will consider canceling the Nov. 19 regular meeting.
What you can do. Public comment on both hearings is tonight.
