Aledo High School alumnus Cody Bradford returned to the Texas Rangers' starting rotation on Aug. 5, his first big-league start in 679 days. He pitched 4.1 innings and did not allow a run.
Bradford, a left-hander, pitched at Baylor before the Rangers drafted him, and he was part of the club's 2023 World Series championship season. The 679-day gap puts his previous big-league start in September 2024.
