After an executive session from 6:49 to 7:30 p.m. on the Dean Ranch development, Aledo and Fort Worth v. Willow Park, the municipal judge appointment and downtown development, with no action taken, Davis read a proclamation recognizing the Aledo High School baseball team, which won the Class 5A Division I state title on June 5, 2026, the school's third state baseball title, under head coach Chad Barry. City Manager Candice Edmondson said the city's new website is scheduled to launch July 20 and updated the council on remaining construction at City Hall. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.

School board approves kitchen HVAC and gym lighting upgrades and a class-ranking policy change as the high school wins the 5A Texas Cup

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met June 15, 2026, with Trustees Forrest Collins, Laura Pace, Jeremy Pruett, Jim Scott, Lynn Morgan and David Lear present; Zachary Tarrant joined at 6:49 p.m. Collins announced the subcommittee assignments for the coming year: legislative, Lear, Collins and Scott; board operating procedures, Pace, Tarrant and Collins; bond progress and planning, Pruett, Lear and Tarrant; community relations, Morgan, Pruett and Tarrant; safety audit committee representatives, Collins and Morgan; strategic partners representatives, Pace, Morgan and Pruett; and budget, Lear, Morgan and Scott. Superintendent Susan Bohn urged families to register students and announced that Aledo High School and the Daniel Ninth Grade Campus won the 5A Texas Cup and finished runner-up for the 5A UIL Lone Star Cup for 2025-2026.

The board approved, each 7-0: HVAC upgrades for the Aledo High School kitchen and LED lighting upgrades for the competition gym, presented by Chief Facilities and Construction Officer Caleb Bell; an update to policy EIC(Local) on class ranking, presented by Assistant Superintendent Amber Crissey; Region 11 contracts for 2026-2027; and new staffing for 2026-2027. School board cancels the May trustee election after candidates go unopposed, approves a donated competition-gym scoreboard, and gives land and an easement to Parker County

It then approved, each 6-0: the purchase of iPads as an instructional tool for teachers; a digital scoreboard upgrade for the Aledo High School competition gym, with Moritz Automotive Group donating a large portion of the cost; Resolution 03232026-1 authorizing the donation of real property to Parker County and the superintendent to negotiate and execute the terms; and Resolution 03232026-2 authorizing a drainage easement for highway purposes to Parker County.

School board honors the 2025 state champion baseball team and authorizes the negotiation and sale of real property

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met June 16, 2025, with Trustees Forrest Collins, Zachary Tarrant, Jeremy Pruett, Jim Scott, Lynn Morgan and David Lear present. Two Aledo High School graduates headed to the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy led the pledges. Collins discussed subcommittee assignments for 2025-2026, including a new board budget subcommittee and expanding the strategic partners subcommittee to community involvement as a whole. Superintendent Susan Bohn marked the end of the school year, and Vice President David Lear reported on the impacts of the recently concluded 89th Legislative Session.

The board commended the Aledo High School baseball team as 2025 UIL Class 5A Division I state champions, the softball team as state bronze medalists, the one-act play company as state silver medalists, FFA state qualifiers, UIL state band and choir solo and ensemble medalists, and UIL academics state qualifiers. Members of the public spoke during public comment, and the consent agenda, including a low attendance day waiver, passed 6-0.

Collins explained what a board meeting is and how to reach the board and district leadership. Superintendent Susan Bohn thanked the PTO and businesses for holiday donations and noted the instructional calendar was open for community feedback. Lear reported on the legislative subcommittee ahead of the session, and Tarrant on the district's work to acquire land for facilities.

Coder Elementary presented, and the board commended the district's Superior rating in the School FIRST financial integrity system for 2023-2024, the month's Bearcats of Character, the McAnally and Aledo Middle School bands as national winners and Citation of Excellence recipients through the Foundation for Music Education, with McAnally also TMEA State 2C Honor Band runner-up, the Aledo High School band's fifth-place finish at the UIL state marching contest, the percussion ensemble's international competition win, the choir's national award, ag advocacy state qualifiers, the Ladycat volleyball team as state bronze medalists, academic all-state honorees, and Stuard Elementary's kindergarten team.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met Oct. 21, 2019, with President Hoyt Harris, Vice President Jennifer Loftin, Secretary Forrest Collins and Trustees Julie Turner, Jessica Brown and Jennifer Taylor present. Harris reported on the 2019 bond proposal's presentations, webpage and video views and the district's first Facebook Live event. Superintendent Susan Bohn reported on the district's first Start With Hello week and showed an NBC5 segment on it. Aledo High School's forensics class presented a lesson funded by an Aledo Education Foundation grant, and the board commended seven National Merit commended students and three National Hispanic Scholars. School board approves a three-year, $210,000 superintendent's contract, an ag barn extension, field house HVAC from the 2015 bond, and Start With Hello Week

The board approved, each 7-0: a proclamation establishing Sept. 23-27 as Start With Hello Week, supported by a School Health Advisory Council member; Top Notch Management LLC's proposal for the Aledo High School ag barn extension; and Trane U.S. Inc.'s proposal for mechanical HVAC replacement units at the high school field house with 2015 bond funds. After an executive session from 7:20 to 7:35 p.m. on the superintendent's performance, evaluation instrument and contract, the board approved the superintendent's contract for a sum of $210,000 for a term of three years, 7-0.

School board adopts the 2018-2019 improvement plans and hears the bond planning process as the new facilities director is introduced

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met Nov. 12, 2018, with President Hoyt Harris, Vice President Jennifer Loftin, Secretary Forrest Collins and Trustees Jessica Brown, Bobby J. Rigues and David Lear present. Aledo High School presented its certified nursing assistant program through Weatherford College, with a 100% pass rate since 2015. The board honored the UIL Class 5A state champion in cross country, and Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld introduced Tyler Boswell as director of facilities and construction. Harris reported the first Local Government Collaborative meeting on Oct. 4, with State Representative Phil King expected Dec. 10 and North Central Texas Council of Governments transportation staff on Jan. 23, 2019. A United Educators Association representative spoke in public comment.

Board hires Dr. Susan K. Bohn as superintendent effective June 11, 2018, approves a consulting agreement with Dr. Derek Citty through June 30, and hires a high school assistant principal

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session April 27, 2018, at 8:33 a.m. with all seven trustees present after Vice President Hoyt Harris arrived at 8:39. After a closed session from 8:34 to 9:40 a.m., the board approved Superintendent Derek Citty's recommendation to hire Billy McLaughlin as assistant principal at Aledo High School, 7-0. Citty said the Elementary School No. 6 site contract needed no action that day and would return on a future agenda, and thanked the Carpenter family for its cooperation with the contract's challenges.

Deputy Superintendent Lynn McKinney reviewed the 2018-2021 strategic plan timeline. The board commended an essay contest winner, band citation winners and the Bearcat Regiment's eighth place at the UIL state marching contest, and the state cross country champion and a third-place finisher. Jennifer Loftin reported more than $10,000 in fast cash grants, and Bobby J. Rigues reported on the State Board of Education's long-range plan forums. There were no public comments.

The board approved the superintendent evaluation instrument procedure and schedule, policy FFA(Local) and the stage-two bus order under the 2015 bond, each 6-0, and the Aledo High School boiler replacement from remaining 2008 bond funds, 5-1, with Rigues against. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

The board approved, each 5-0: the Board Operating Procedure Manual; Collins as TASA/TASB delegate with Stringer as alternate; moving the board calendar to August; a School Priority Month resolution; 2016-2017 meal prices; an agreement with Dr Pepper Snapple Group; technology HVAC upgrades; Aledo High School auditorium stage equipment and rigging; a resolution supporting construction of an addition to the Parker County Appraisal District's building, presented by Chief Appraiser Larry Hammonds; and the guaranteed maximum price for the phase 1 earthwork package for Elementary No. 5. The iPads for instructional staff passed 4-0 with Tillman abstaining. No endorsement was needed for the TASB board because Rigues was the only Region 11 candidate. The board approved Alyssa Seay as middle school assistant principal, 5-0, and adjourned at 10:14 p.m.
