The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 12, 2024, at 6:04 p.m. with Vice President David Lear presiding and Trustees Jennifer Taylor, Jim Scott and Zachary Tarrant present; Hoyt Harris joined at 6:11 p.m. No one spoke during public comment.
The board approved, each 5-0, a memorandum of understanding with Parker County on the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program for 2024-2025 and the 2024-2025 Student Code of Conduct, both presented by Deputy Superintendent Kim Raymond, and the off-campus physical education locations for the year, presented by Assistant Superintendent Ingia Saxton.
In communication items, Executive Director of Technology Brooks Moore discussed the annual technology license and warranty renewals, Chief Facilities and Construction Officer Chris Campbell discussed safety upgrades to the Aledo High School lab, Raymond walked through the 13 local policies in Policy Update 123 and the six in the summer policy review, and Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld discussed vendor lists for multiple requests for proposals; all returned for votes Aug. 19. The meeting adjourned at 6:22 p.m.
