Total personnel assigned: 515. The incident commander is J. Webb of the Texas A&M Forest Service.
The page gives the date of origin as Mon, 08/24/2026 at 13:41, the location as approximately 1 mile west of Palo Pinto, Texas, and the cause as human-caused, equipment/vehicle use. A Forest Service announcement dated 09-02-2026 says its law enforcement division, with local agencies, determined the fire was human-caused, and that while investigators could not conclusively identify the specific ignition source, the fire originated from equipment or vehicle use.
