School board hires Dr. Derek Citty as superintendent, 6-0, and signs his contract
A reception followed a twenty-minute meeting.
The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session June 19, 2013, with six trustees present. After an executive session on the superintendent's contract from 6:04 to 6:10 p.m., the board voted 6-0, on a motion by Steve Bartley seconded by Dr. David Tillman, to hire Dr. Derek Citty as superintendent. Citty thanked the board, and he, President Jay Stringer and Secretary Johnny Campbell signed the contract. Trustees said the process had ended and the work would begin. The meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m., and a reception followed.
