The superintendent sets 2014-2015 district goals: closing performance gaps, growth, and a Bearcat Academy for community engagement

Principals' attendance goal was set at 97.5%. The board's formative conference with the superintendent followed in closed session.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session July 21, 2014, with five trustees present once Hoyt Harris arrived. Superintendent Derek Citty presented the 2014-2015 district goals: closing performance gaps for English learners, economically disadvantaged, Hispanic and special education students; managing the district's growth; and community engagement through a new Bearcat Academy, with principals' goals set to raise attendance to 97.5%. The board held the formative superintendent conference in executive session from 6:48 to 7:06 p.m., took no action and adjourned.
