Aledo ISD Board Room, 1008 Bailey Ranch Road
Trustees review five superintendent search proposals and decide to hear all five firms
No action was taken. The board also weighed whether to revise its mission and vision before the new superintendent arrives.
The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Nov. 27, 2017, at 6:02 p.m. with all seven trustees present once Hoyt Harris and Jennifer Loftin arrived. President Jay Stringer led a discussion of five search firm proposals, from Thompson & Horton, Bobby Griggs and Associates, Jenny Preston, Arrow Educational Services and TASB Executive Search Services; trustees set criteria and decided to have all five present, with Stringer to schedule them for Dec. 4 and Dec. 6 if needed. The board discussed whether to revise the mission and vision statements or wait for the new superintendent, and decided to seek advice from TASB consultant Kay Douglas at the Dec. 12 Team of Eight training. No action was taken on a search firm, no executive session was held because the school attorney was unavailable, and the meeting adjourned at 6:36 p.m.
