The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session March 21, 2018, at 6:02 p.m. with all seven trustees present once Hoyt Harris arrived at 6:06. Dr. Jenny Preston of Jenny Preston Education Services said the search had drawn a lot of interest, that open forums had produced a profile emphasizing leadership, ethical and moral character, student relations, human relations and communications, and that there had been 40 applicants. After an executive session from 6:08 to 9:14 p.m., the board voted 7-0 on President Jay Stringer's motion to conduct a round of interviews on March 27 and 28, and adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
