Annetta North's council takes up two rezonings, an accessory-building ordinance and the FM 5 property exchange Tuesday

The town's agenda for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Annetta Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 2836 FM 5, posted September 1, lists under old business discussion and possible action on roads and bridges; property on FM 5 at Annetta CenterPoint Road and land use; an amended ordinance regulating the size of accessory buildings; rezoning approximately eleven lots on West Oak Drive East, West Oak Drive West and Rising Sun Road from R-1, Single Family Residential District, 1-acre lots, to R-M, Single Family Residential District, Manufactured Homes; and rezoning approximately three lots on Aledo River Rd., Lots 7, 8 and 9, Block A, Aledo River Phase I, from R-4, 4-acre lots, to R-2, 2-acre lots. New business lists removal of dead trees on Quail Ridge Road, an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan 2038 and the exchange of the FM 5 property; the town's posted notice of sale or exchange describes approximately 6.046 acres west of and adjacent to FM 5, approximately 1,000 feet south of Annetta Centerpoint Road, with sealed bids due by 3:00 p.m. on June 15, 2026. The consent items include the minutes of July 14, 2026; the town's minutes page lists March 2026 as its most recent set.
