Air Quality Alert: the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has issued an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth area for Tuesday, September 22, 2026; the alert, issued September 21 at 3:02PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth, covers Parker County among 13 counties and expires at 6:15 p.m.
The notice says atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone air pollution on Tuesday and lists sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive-through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned as ways to help prevent ozone pollution.
