School board sets the Elementary No. 5 guaranteed maximum price at $22,317,741 and takes a school finance workshop
The Buford-Thompson phase 2 amendment passed 6-0.
The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 4, 2016, with six trustees present. On a motion by Hoyt Harris seconded by Jennifer Loftin, the board approved the final guaranteed maximum price amendment to the contract with Buford-Thompson Company for phase 2 of Elementary School No. 5 in the amount of $22,317,741, 6-0. Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld then presented the components and concepts of Texas school finance and their effect on the district, a goal the board had set for itself, and answered questions. The meeting adjourned at 8:14 p.m.
