Four trustees approve well-site and waterline easements with the Town of Annetta and take final action on a teacher contract nonrenewal

Both votes were 4-0 at an 8 a.m. special meeting that opened in closed session. The Ledger does not name the employee.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session May 28, 2021, with Trustees Jessica Brown, Julie Turner, Jennifer Taylor and David Lear present, and convened in closed session at 8:02 a.m. before the open agenda. Superintendent Susan Bohn gave a brief COVID-19 update.

The board approved a well site and waterline easement and a sanitary control easement between the district and the Town of Annetta, presented by Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld and Tyler Boswell, 4-0. After consulting counsel in closed session, it voted 4-0, on a motion by Lear seconded by Turner, to take final action to nonrenew the term contract of a classroom teacher who had not requested a hearing on the proposed nonrenewal, and directed the superintendent to give notice of the action.
