The council met Thursday on the golf cart and e-bike ordinances, the Aledo Shell alcohol variance and the investment policy; CivicClerk shows no recording and no minutes for the meeting as of this morning, so the votes are not on the record yet

By Christopher Weaver ·

The Sept. 17 agenda, as posted, carried a work session on food truck ordinance updates and FY 2027 municipal fee schedule updates; a recognition of the Parker County Genealogy and Historical Society; a consent agenda with meeting minutes and Resolution No. 2026-R-17 adopting the City of Aledo Investment Policy; a public hearing on a request for variance from Section 14-137, which prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages near a church, public or private school or public hospital, for Aledo Shell at 401 S FM 1187; Ordinance No. 2026-O-24 regulating golf carts and ATVs, off-road vehicles, utility vehicles and recreational off-road vehicles within the city limits; and Ordinance No. 2026-O-25 regulating bicycles and e-bikes within the city limits. The executive session list named the City of Aledo and City of Fort Worth v. City of Willow Park, Beall-Dean Ranch and Parker County potential settlement agreement, the Capital Lane Advisors proposal, Dean Ranch development standards, downtown development, and, under Section 551.087, the Dean Ranch development agreement.

As of the build, the CivicClerk record for the meeting lists two files, the agenda and the 2026.09.17 agenda packet, and hasMedia is false; no minutes are attached for Sept. 17 or for the Sept. 3 meeting. The Ledger reports votes only from minutes or a recording; the outcome of each item will run when either is posted.
