Air Quality Alert: the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has issued an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth area for Friday, September 18, 2026; the alert, issued at 4:08 p.m. Thursday by NWS Fort Worth, lists Parker among the 13 counties and expires at 7:15 p.m. Friday.

The alert says atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone air pollution on Friday, and lists sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive-through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned as ways to help prevent it.
