Where is Aledo?

In Parker County, just west of Fort Worth, per the city's About page. City Hall is at 200 Old Annetta Rd., Aledo, TX 76008. The Ledger's address lookup shows whether a given address is inside the city limits, in Willow Park, Hudson Oaks or the Annettas, or unincorporated.

How old is it?

The city's page dates the town to 1879, when the Texas and Pacific Railroad established a station called Parker Station; the community was renamed Aledo in 1882 for a railroad official's hometown in Illinois, and the city incorporated in 1963.

How many people live here?

The city's page gives a 2025 estimated population of 5,521 for the city proper. The school district, whose boundaries reach well beyond the city, enrolled 8,430 students in 2024-25 by the federal count on the Ledger's enrollment page.

What is the sales tax, and the property tax?
