School board names Dr. Susan Bohn lone finalist for superintendent, 7-0
The president read the state confidentiality exception for superintendent applicants before the vote and said a meet-and-greet would follow the next week.
The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session April 5, 2018, at 5:31 p.m. with all seven trustees present once Dr. David Tillman arrived at 5:46. After a closed session on superintendent applicants from 5:32 to 5:56 p.m., President Jay Stringer read the Texas Government Code Section 552.126 exception protecting the names of superintendent applicants and said the board had been transparent about the process while protecting confidentiality. On a motion by Forrest Collins seconded by Hoyt Harris, the board named Dr. Susan Bohn lone finalist for superintendent, 7-0. Trustees described the search and the finalist in their comments, Collins thanked search consultant Dr. Jenny Preston, and Superintendent Derek Citty said he looked forward to welcoming Bohn. The meeting adjourned at 6:09 p.m.
