Virtually, via Webex

In a Friday morning virtual meeting, the board delegates emergency authority to the superintendent for the COVID-19 disaster

The resolution passed 7-0 with a revision to paragraph 12. Each cabinet member reported on the pandemic's effect on operations.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session virtually via Webex at 9:05 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2020, with all seven trustees present. Superintendent Susan Bohn said the board's requested changes had been made and recommended approval of the resolution delegating authority to the superintendent to act in place of the board during an emergency or disaster due to COVID-19, with the revision as discussed to paragraph 12. The board approved it 7-0 on a motion by Secretary Forrest Collins seconded by Julie Turner. Each member of the superintendent's cabinet then reported on COVID-19's impact on operations and the work done to address student, staff and community needs. The meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
