Who turns on the water, picks up the trash and issues the permit depends on which side of a city-limit line the address sits. Check the address first, then use the part of this page that applies.

• Electricity in most of Texas is deregulated: Oncor owns the wires and you choose a retail provider. Some rural parts of the county are served by an electric cooperative instead; the appraisal district record or your closing documents will say which.
• Water and sewer come from the city you are in, or from a municipal utility district in newer subdivisions. Boil-water notices are issued by the utility and tracked by TCEQ; the most recent one the Ledger found for Aledo was July 8. A proposed Parker County Public Utility Agency would pool the county's cities for long-term supply.
• Trash service is contracted by each city; check the city's site for the hauler and pickup day.

Walsh and some nearby subdivisions are inside the City of Fort Worth but in Parker County and in Aledo ISD: city services, permits and police come from Fort Worth, schools from Aledo.
