Nine residents speak on the tax increase and teacher pay as the CFO lays out salary schedules and the homeowner impact

The workshop ended in an hour-long closed session with no action.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 25, 2015, with all seven trustees present once Hoyt Harris and Dr. David Tillman arrived. Nine residents spoke, seven about the tax increase and two about teacher salaries. Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld presented the 2015-2016 budget update: the development calendar, projections and assumptions, several teacher salary schedules, the general fund's historical budget, the projected interest and sinking rate increase, and the tax rate changes with their impact on homeowners. The board met in executive session with its attorney and on personnel and real property from 7:58 to 9:02 p.m., took no action and adjourned at 9:03 p.m.
