School board adopts the 2015-2016 tax rate, 6-0, after six residents speak on taxes and communication

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Sept. 15, 2015, with six trustees present. Six residents spoke, four about taxes, one about taxes and better communication, and one about the maintenance budget. On a motion by Hoyt Harris seconded by Dr. David Tillman, the board adopted the 2015-2016 tax rate as presented, 6-0; the rate is in an attachment the minutes reference but do not reproduce. Trustees thanked the community for speaking and said it was one of the most difficult decisions the board had made. The meeting adjourned at 8 p.m.
