School board adopts the 2016-2017 budget with a 1% general pay increase and the tax rate

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 29, 2016, with six trustees present once David Davis arrived. At a public hearing from 7:04 to 7:28 p.m., Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld presented the 2016-2017 budget with a general pay increase of one percent of the midpoint range, and one resident spoke about teacher and staff salaries.
The board adopted the 2016-2017 budget, 6-0, and the 2016-2017 tax rate, 6-0, each as presented in an attachment the minutes reference but do not reproduce, and approved the final amended budget for 2015-2016, 5-0, with Dr. David Tillman out of the room. Trustees praised Husfeld, and the meeting adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
