Trustees meet with the Aledo City Council on the city's strategic plan update

Five trustees attended the joint session at the community center; no action was taken.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session July 17, 2019, at the Aledo Community Center with President Hoyt Harris, Vice President Jennifer Loftin, Secretary Forrest Collins and Trustees David Lear and Jessica Brown present. In conjunction with the Aledo City Council, the board discussed an update to the city's strategic plan. The meeting ran from 6:45 to 8:35 p.m.

School board approves kitchen HVAC and gym lighting upgrades and a class-ranking policy change as the high school wins the 5A Texas Cup

Tarrant and Pace are sworn in, Harris leaves after 15 years, and the board authorizes Series 2026 refunding bonds and names Vierling Field

Eleven action items passed 7-0, including three curriculum purchases, the middle school parking project, custodial and grounds extensions, and the auditor for 2025-2026. Collins, Lear and Tarrant were re-elected as officers.
