Board approves an educator appraisal waiver and revises the COVID-19 emergency resolution on wages and leave

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session by video conference April 9, 2020, at 6:07 p.m. with Vice President Jennifer Loftin presiding and Secretary Forrest Collins and Trustees Julie Turner, Jessica Brown, David Lear and Jennifer Taylor present. The board approved the minutes of March 23, 27 and 30, 6-0. Cabinet members shared operational updates on the COVID-19 building closure.

The board approved an educator appraisal waiver for filing with the Texas Education Agency, presented by Deputy Superintendent Lynn McKinney, and, after Superintendent Susan Bohn walked through changes on wage payments and leave, Resolution No. 04092020-9 delegating authority to the superintendent to act in place of the board during an emergency or disaster due to COVID-19, each 6-0. The meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
