Before school starts, the board adopts the student code of conduct, a personal-device policy, admissions and activities changes, and a library materials policy

All four votes were 7-0. Staff also presented 2024-2025 end-of-year assessment data and the 2025-2026 Aledo Behavior Standards.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 6, 2025, at 5 p.m. with all seven trustees present: Forrest Collins, Hoyt Harris, Zachary Tarrant, Jeremy Pruett, Jim Scott, Lynn Morgan and David Lear.

The board approved, each 7-0: changes to policies FM(Local) on student activities and FD(Local) on admissions, presented by Superintendent Susan Bohn; changes to policy FNCE(Local) on student conduct and personal communication and electronic devices, presented by Deputy Superintendent Kim Raymond; the 2025-2026 Student Code of Conduct; and changes to policy EFB(Local) on instructional resources and library materials, presented by Assistant Superintendent Amber Crissey.

Crissey and Director of Assessment and Accountability Candace Summerhill shared 2024-2025 end-of-year student assessment data, and Raymond presented the 2025-2026 Aledo Behavior Standards. The board went into executive session at 5:58 p.m. on the superintendent's contract, consultation with its attorney, real property and a student matter.
