Commissioners Court signs the TxDOT funding agreement for FM 1187 from FM 5 to Aledo Iona Road, accepts a counter offer at 2 Dean Drive and a land donation on Old Weatherford Road

The Parker County Commissioners Court met in regular session Oct. 13, 2025. On an item presented by Chris Bosco, the court authorized the county judge to sign Advanced Funding Agreement CSJ 2291-01-018 with TxDOT for FM 1187 from FM 5 to Aledo Iona Road, on a motion by Commissioner Hale seconded by Commissioner Conley. It also authorized the judge to sign Advanced Funding Agreement CSJ 0902-38-156 with TxDOT for the Section 130 sign and striping project.
After a closed session from 9:25 to 10:46 a.m., the court voted, on motions by Hale seconded by Conley, to accept the counter offer for Parcel 12 of the East Bankhead Highway Project, the property the minutes list as 2 Dean Drive and 2 Dean Road, Aledo, and to accept the donation of property at 15503 Old Weatherford Road in Aledo. Both carried. On the county justice center and jail, the court voted to designate the jail bond funding toward a project at Fort Walters, as the minutes spell it, to serve as the jail annex upon approval.
The court's other Precinct 4 plat items that day, Bear Creek Ranch and Younger Ranch, are outside the east Parker County footprint and are not reported here.
