School board adopts the 2013-2014 budget and the attendance-credit agreement and calls a town hall on the tax rate

Every vote was 7-0. The budget hearing ran from 7:03 to 7:41 p.m.; the rate itself waited for September.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 26, 2013, at 7 p.m. with all seven trustees present, after a 6 p.m. session at which Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld presented the general, child nutrition and debt service budgets. Personnel recommendations passed on consent, 7-0. A public hearing on the 2013-2014 budget and proposed tax rate ran from 7:03 to 7:41 p.m. The board adopted the 2013-2014 budget, the agreement to purchase attendance credits and the final amended 2012-2013 budget, each 7-0, and set a Sept. 10 town hall on the proposed tax rate. Trustees thanked the community for its input, and the meeting adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
