The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met June 16, 2014, with six trustees present. Superintendent Derek Citty set a June 30 special meeting for the 2025 Committee's report, said the 2014-2015 calendar would be reviewed for Memorial Day absenteeism, and announced twenty teachers' $250 attendance awards. The board commended UIL academic winners. Hoyt Harris reported the foundation's golf tournament raised $40,000. There were no public comments. The consent agenda, including a budget amendment related to bond refunding, passed 6-0.
Citty presented the completed 2013-2014 goals report. The board approved, each 6-0: replacing staff computers by lease; the 2014-2015 transportation hazardous zones; 2014-2015 child nutrition meal prices; Region 11 contracts; and out-of-state travel for percussion students to an international competition in Indianapolis. After an executive session from 8:20 to 9:30 p.m., it approved David Sweeney as assistant principal shared between Vandagriff Elementary and McAnally Intermediate and Holly Elgin as full-time assistant principal at McAnally, 6-0, and adjourned at 9:32 p.m.
