The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met July 16, 2018, with President Hoyt Harris and Trustees David Lear, Bobby J. Rigues and Jessica Brown present. Rigues summarized the Texas Commission on Public School Finance's July 10 meeting. There were no public comments. The consent agenda, approved 4-0, included the agreement to purchase attendance credits under the state's recapture of funds. Rocky Gardiner of Templeton Demographics presented the firm's Aledo ISD demographic study.
The board approved, each 4-0: the 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct; Forrest Collins as delegate and Jennifer Loftin as alternate to TASB's 2018 delegate assembly; a resolution on 2018-2019 hazardous traffic conditions for transportation; a resolution and adjunct faculty agreement designating three 4-H adjunct faculty members; 2018-2019 child nutrition meal prices; the 2018-2019 board calendar; and Heinemann reading and writing products for grades K-5 not to exceed $55,000 for the remainder of the fiscal year. After an executive session from 8:07 to 8:48 p.m., Harris thanked the executive director of curriculum for her years of service, and the meeting adjourned at 8:51 p.m.
