The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees held a workshop June 12, 2019, with President Hoyt Harris, Secretary Forrest Collins, Vice President Jennifer Loftin and Trustees Jennifer Taylor and David Lear present; Julie Turner joined at 6:05 p.m. After a brief executive session on two assistant principal candidates, the board approved Superintendent Susan Bohn's recommendation to hire Karen May as assistant principal at McAnally Intermediate, 6-0; Bohn said no one would be recommended for the Aledo Middle School position at that time.
Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld led a discussion of the new school finance bill, House Bill 3, and its potential effect on the district's revenues, tax rates and budget; Deputy Superintendent Lynn McKinney led a discussion of 2019-2020 staffing; Husfeld and Director of Construction and Facilities Tyler Boswell reviewed the remaining 2015 bond funds and planned projects; and Bohn explained plans for the 2019-2020 instructional focus. The workshop adjourned at 8:37 p.m.
