School board adopts the citizens committee's attendance zone maps and a Fort Worth interlocal for the new McAnally Middle School

All three votes were 7-0. A change to the Latin program was previewed.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session March 11, 2021, with all seven trustees present. Members of the public spoke. Superintendent Susan Bohn praised the community's involvement, and Executive Director of Student Services Scott Kessel presented COVID-19 data reported to the district. Deputy Superintendent Lynn McKinney presented a possible change to the Latin program based on its enrollment over time.

The board approved, each 7-0: the final elementary and middle school attendance zone maps recommended by the citizens Attendance Zone Committee, presented by co-chairs Peter Healey and Cynthia Llewellyn; an interlocal agreement with the City of Fort Worth for the construction of community facilities with city participation, related to the new McAnally Middle School; and a Tri-County Electric Cooperative electric line easement and right of way for McAnally Middle School. A workshop on staffing, the budget and the McAnally Intermediate conversion followed at 7 p.m.
