School board adopts the 2022-2023 budget and tax rate after a hearing with no speakers, and calls part of its 2016 refunding bonds early

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 29, 2022, with President Hoyt Harris and Trustees Turner, Jessica Brown, Jennifer Loftin, Jennifer Taylor and David Lear present. Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld presented the 2022-2023 budget and proposed tax rate, and a public hearing that began at 6:21 p.m. drew no participants.

The board adopted the 2022-2023 fiscal year budget, approved a resolution calling a portion of the district's Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2016, for redemption before maturity, adopted the 2022-2023 tax rate, and approved the final amended budgets for 2021-2022, each 6-0. The minutes do not state the adopted rate or the budget amounts.
