A two-hour August budget workshop ahead of the 2024-2025 adoption

Six trustees heard the budget update; an executive session followed and the workshop adjourned at 8:37 p.m.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees held a workshop Aug. 12, 2024, called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Vice President David Lear with Trustees Hoyt Harris, Zachary Tarrant, Jim Scott and Jennifer Taylor present; Jeremy Pruett joined at 7:04 p.m. No one spoke during public comment.

Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld updated the board on the 2024-2025 budget, which was adopted Aug. 26. An executive session was posted, and the workshop adjourned at 8:37 p.m.

Eleven action items passed 7-0, including three curriculum purchases, the middle school parking project, custodial and grounds extensions, and the auditor for 2025-2026. Collins, Lear and Tarrant were re-elected as officers.
