The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Aug. 3, 2017, with six trustees present. Presenters from the 2017 Bond Steering Committee reviewed the committee's purpose, meetings and the demographic reports, financials and district snapshot it studied, and recommended calling a bond election for Nov. 7, 2017, to address capital improvements of $3,200,000, additions and renovations of $9,878,653, a land purchase of $3,000,000 and new construction of Middle School No. 2 for $64,609,118, a total package of $80,687,771. Trustees asked questions, the committee members were thanked, and the meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
