A June workshop on reopening schools in the fall, 2020-2021 staffing and the budget while the district waits on state guidance

The superintendent said the commissioner's return-to-school guidelines were expected the following week.

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees held a workshop June 11, 2020, with President Hoyt Harris, Secretary Forrest Collins and Trustees Julie Turner, Jessica Brown and David Lear present; Jennifer Loftin joined at 6:14 p.m. Superintendent Susan Bohn said the district hoped to hear from the Commissioner of Education the following week with guidelines for returning to school in the fall, and each cabinet department presented its 2020-2021 plans. Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld gave a budget update and, with Executive Director of Human Resources Sherry Taylor and Deputy Superintendent Lynn McKinney, a presentation on 2020-2021 staffing. The workshop adjourned at 8:58 p.m.
