School board authorizes the sale of about 80 acres on Old Weatherford Road and a Coronavirus Relief Fund agreement with Parker County
Both votes were 7-0 at a special meeting the night after the election.
The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met in special session Nov. 4, 2020, with Trustees Forrest Collins, Julie Turner, Hoyt Harris, Jennifer Loftin, Jennifer Taylor and David Lear present; Jessica Brown joined in executive session at 6:07 p.m., as the minutes record it. Superintendent Susan Bohn reported growing COVID-19 case and quarantine numbers and urged families to report known close contacts.
The board approved a resolution authorizing the sale of the district's approximately 80 acres on Old Weatherford Road, presented by Bohn and Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld, and a Coronavirus Relief Fund interlocal cooperation agreement with Parker County so the district could seek reimbursement from the county's federal funds for COVID-19 expenditures. The minutes record each motion as passing 7-0.
