Kirk, Richardson & Poole was named auditor and AUI Special Projects Group got the McAnally site work. Every vote was 6-0.
The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met May 19, 2014, with six trustees present. The Learning Center's principal presented. Chief Financial Officer Earl Husfeld read the May 10 election returns, and the board secretary swore in David Davis for Place 6 and Hoyt Harris for Place 7. The board commended VASE and track state qualifiers, the state tennis doubles team, girls golf and coach Tim Buchanan as the National Football Foundation's Gridiron Coach of the Year, and gave Bobby J. Rigues a plaque for ten years on the board. After a closed session on reorganization, it elected Jay Stringer president, Davis vice president and Johnny Campbell secretary, each 6-0. Superintendent Derek Citty updated the 2025 Committee. There were no public comments.
The consent agenda passed 6-0. Husfeld and Citty reported summer construction: the Learning Center, the McAnally traffic loop, the auxiliary building, the Bearcat storefront, the high school security entrance, HVAC and exterior lighting. The School Health Advisory Council gave its end-of-year report.
The board approved, each 6-0: Kirk, Richardson & Poole, P.C. as auditor for the Aug. 31, 2014 audit; AUI Special Projects Group, LLC for site improvements at McAnally Intermediate; a network cabling and electronics contract for the Aledo Learning Center; and a letter from the superintendent to the Fort Worth City Council asking consideration of the district's concerns with the Morningstar development agreement. After an executive session from 9:35 to 11:07 p.m., it approved a math specialist, 6-0, and adjourned at 11:09 p.m.
