The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees met Nov. 13, 2023, with Trustees Forrest Collins, Zachary Tarrant, Jessica Brown, Jennifer Loftin, Jennifer Taylor and David Lear present. Lear reported on the fourth special session and the district's advocacy.
Annetta Elementary and the Aledo Learning Center presented. The board commended the Bearcat Regiment and visual ensemble as UIL Class 5A state marching qualifiers, the band program's Earl D. Irons Program of Distinction and Foundation for Music Education awards for the high school wind ensemble, symphonic band and both middle school bands, the girls cross country team as state silver medalists and the boys team's 10th-place state finish, four Circle of Greatness honorees and Vandagriff Elementary's first-grade team.
